Summary: I listened to just about every speaker in this price range and bang for the buck these things took the cake. They sound better than mayny speakers costing much more (Bose did not even come close. Bose are great for the size, but lack midbass and their subs are not great.
Summary: WOW!!! These things are a huge step up from my Bose accoustimass system. Very crisp clear sound. I combined these with six TSi100's for the surround speakers and a Polk Audio Center channel. I'm not even sure if I need a subwoofer. These things put out awesome clear bass.
Summary: I recently mounted a 65" TV above my fireplace and replaced my old infinity studio speakers with these. I wanted something taller and thinner that would fit on each side of my fireplace. The sound is great as all the reviews I read said they would. I would recommend these to anyone in the market.
EXCELLENT SOUND - EXCELLENT BUILD QUALITY - best speaker under $1500!

Summary: OK I normally do NOT do reviews - let me start by saying I am a huge "audio-holic" , I buy, sell and trade speakers regularly just to try new ones...and yes sometimes I am very sorry I let some go....
The Best Sounding speakers I ever heard outside a THX movie theatre, and sooo Beautiful looking + 3 other speaker reviews...

Summary: SOUNDS USED FOR TESTING The spaceships in Close Encounters have the longest sustained, deepest bass in any movie or music I know, so they are really a great test for bass and distortion ... The best sounding Classical CD I have is a Mobile Fidelity SACD of Prokofiev’s Ivan The Terrible.
Summary: Well, I was initially using Polk monitor 60's as my main front towers, a Polk CS1 Center, 2 Kef K 160's for my back speakers, a Polk PSW10 subwoofer, powered by an Onkyo TX-NR609. When I decided to get these Tsi500's as my front main towers, I put the Monitor 60's in the back and put the Kef's in a...
Summary: My original Polk setup consisted of cherry TSi200s x 4 (front and rear) and a CS10 center with PSW125 sub for my 5.1 system with my Onkyo NR 609 (100w x 7). It sounded great, but I want to be BLOWN out of my seat on big impacts and the front end wasn't quite doing it except on modern movies designed...
Summary: I am an ordinary person who loves nice, clean, clear sound, the way it was meant to be. These speakers clearly do that and more. I got a subwoofer to go with this pair and an additional set of TSi200 bookshelf speakers. The base from these TSi500 speakers is really enough for me.
Summary: I have always liked Polk's speakers whether they were the old Monitor series or the newer RTi series. I felt that these were a pretty fair deal. I would imagine that the RTi7's would probably sound a little better but am very pleased with the TSI500's.
