Summary: Just like Polk Audio's PSW10 Subwoofer (which I also purchased), this unit is SOLID and HEAVY. Polk gives you great quality products for the money. This thing is much more substantial than I expected. Comes with a consolidated, flattened cable for connecting to a 5.1 surround receiver.
Summary: I researched this speaker for months before I finally decided to give it a try. My living room is not conducive to a 5 speaker setup, so I thought a single surroundbar solution would be perfect. I was not disappointed!
Summary: When I moved into a new house I could not hook up my Bose lifestyle 35 system properly--no place to put the rear speakers, and the Bose system had no HDMI. So I looked at and listened to some of the "surround" systems with only speakers in the front.
Summary: Just got done hooking up my surroundbar with a yamaha HTR-6060bl 7.1 receiver, and a polk Audio PSW505 subwoofer, all i can say is this combo is unreal. The sound is crystal clear and the surround sound is there. Anyone looking for another 5.1 alternative should give this killer combo a try.
Summary: I am 69 and went through basic in the days before ear protection so the base notes sound much better to me than the treble. Saying that I heard things on this speaker that I could not hear on my previous ones. Like the Springsteen song "Tougher than the Rest".
