Great product line with a few Q issues but nothing to whine about.

  • Summary: While my RtiA3’s out the box sounded beautiful these beauties started far less then so. After a few days of muddy sound I ran my Stereophile test CD for around 72+ hours at Full Reference level. After returning them to the Media room I was greeted with the Sound that all others have raved about and for good reason. Sound vs price just can not be beat IMO and the fact that I use these in my home entertainment center as well leaves me with a lot of Pluses.

Balanced

dev1, Amazon

  • Summary: Although we music fanatics know that speaker critiques are qualitative at best, we still try. The cherry RTiA5 is just beautiful. With the curved enclosure its quite a work of art. As for the sound, balanced is my best description. Highs, midrange and bass are just fine. Nothing exaggerated. Very natural. At low listening levels you can walk about the room and the speakers disappear. Dispersion is terribly wide.

Fantastic

  • Summary: I paired these with a BIC F-12 sub and couldn't be happier. This setup sounds amazing, shakes the walls and has fantastic clarity. I mainly went for these over the A7s as I'm mainly watching movies with these and liked having two mid-drivers. Also, paired with a 12" sub there is plenty of bass to go around. I don't notice any gaps in the range that is output when crossed over at 80. These definitely do sound better and warmer as you let them break in.

Really like them

  • Summary: Replaced a set of JBL Northridge tower speakers. Paired with: 12+ year old Onkyo home theatre receiver. Polk ATI3 as satellite speakers. JBL Northridge 80w sub. Very clear mids and highs. The JBL sub provides the deep base and these speakers provide a clear base that allows me to turn down my sub from the setting I had with the d JBL towers. Cabinets are very nice and compliment the cherry floors I have in my house. I would buy again.
  • Pros: Clarity of high and mid range. Cabinets are beautiful.
  • Cons: Needs a subwoofer.

RTiA5 review

  • Summary: My system consists of a Denon X-4000 receiver, Polk RTiA5's up front, Polk RTiA1's for surrounds, Polk 660 pro sub & a def tech CS8040HD center (Polk CSiA4 was too big for tv stand cabinet). The A5's absolutely shine in multi channel use. I've tested with all kinds of movies on blue-ray, even movies on cable sound great. I was originally gonna get the A7's, but after some debating I got the A5's & I must say I'm glad I went with the A5's.
