Summary: They sound great. Highs are brilliant but there's too much on the high side. Bass is nice & crisp; not thumping which you shouldn't expect from Polks or a bookshelf speaker. Not enough midrange to support the highs. Subwoofer helps fill the middle but not quite.
Summary: Very nice speakers. Build quality is very good. Passes the 'knock' test. Well designed. Fill my 20 X 25 room with sound. Highs are not fatiguing, mids and lows are spot on. Really like that they are front ported since I had to wall mount them.
Summary: I had these speakers for 3 days before they started sounded good. I think there is definitely a break in period. Now they sound great. Definitely the best speakers I've ever had. I have them paired with a Denon AVR-1913 and a cheap Yamaha subwoofer.( I do think you need a subwoofer with these.
Summary: I have my RTiA3 speakers set up in a den that is about 12' x 12'. They are installed on built in bookshelves in opposite corners of the room. I have them connected to a vintage Denon receiver which puts out about 100W x2. Sound from a Sony Playstation 3 and a Sony LCD TV is fed to the receiver.
Summary: I have been considering these speakers seriously so I went to a local shop to listen and I figured I would share. They appear to be very well made with excellent connections and beautiful looks. As far as sound quality goes I was able to plug my phone into the Onkyo receiver and play what I wanted.
Pros: Smooth tweeters and very good tonality.
Cons: Slightly too much bass but not a deal breaker.
Summary: Upgraded from the Monitor line to RTi & am having a blast. These A3s are front wides, & they put out clean audible sound in music, tv dialogue & movies. The cherry finish on all the speakers is simply stunning imho. Imagine these would work well as surrounds too, but I'm using A5s for that!
Summary: These sound ok but I was spoiled by older Infinity speakers I had that were much heavier with larger woofers. I think they suffice in a small room if you're not looking for a lot of low end and they are nice and clear but I wouldn't exactly call them full range speakers.
Summary: Was unsure at first - they sounded tinny. They definitely broke in after a few hours of loud playing and the base sounds pretty throaty for a small speaker. They are deeper than you think but will fit in a bookcase and hang out the front a bit as long as you've got 12" wide shelves.
Summary: Well made, attractive and can dance with power. Strong mid-base, tweets are not harsh at louder volume. I chose this speaker set in trying to punch up my side surround in an 9.1 surround system. Uncompressed Blu-ray dialog needs a strong midrange presence. I am pleasantly surprised.
