Great speakers

Tom C, Crutchfield
12 September 2013
  • Summary: Right now I would rate these a 3.5 but would buy them again. These are still new to me and maybe they are not all the way broken in. Compared to my last speakers these have more highs and mid range. All the different sounds seem separate like the drums, cymbals, guitars, etc... My last speakers didn't have the highs or mid range so the sounds were blended and muddy. These are not at all.
  • Pros: Have decent bass, great mid range and highs. Have a wide sound stage.
  • Cons: Tweeter sounds scratchy and blown when really close to it. Need a little power to hear them properly.

Polk Audio RTi A3

RCS, Crutchfield
6 March 2013
  • Summary: We replace an old set of Infinity Bookshelf speakers with the Polk Audio RTi A3 speakers for the back of the room. What a remarkable difference in the sound quality. We are enjoying the improvement in bass and clarity in the higher sound range. These speakers have a great look and feel as well, giving our room a great look. We have the Polk Audio RTi A7 floor standing speakers for the front of the room and the RTi A3 speakers for the back the room.
  • Pros: Great look and even better sound

Polk Audio RTi A3

JB3, Crutchfield
5 December 2012
  • Summary: I was looking for some Bookshelf speakers to replace a pair of Boston Acoustics CR75s. After going to a big chain store to try to audition some speakers I was thoroughly disappointed with the sound quality for the price point I wanted to spend. So after doing some research, looking at many of the reviews I decided to order the Polk RTi3s. I'm very happy with them. For the money, I think you would be hard-pressed to find a better sounding bookshelf speaker.
  • Pros: Natural sound with balanced and depth to the good tight bass response for a bookshelf speaker. Overall very Good sound.
  • Cons: None of significance.

open box disappointment - exchange satisfaction

Anonymous, Crutchfield
8 October 2012
  • Summary: I took advantage of the open box discount. Upon installation I noticed a slight crackle on one speaker. I swapped channels and the same speaker made the same noise. When I reported this to Crutchfield, they immediately shipped a replacement pair and allowed me to keep the defective set until the replacements arrived. Outstanding service...Realize that tthe replacements were not an open box, yet I was not billed for the difference.
  • Pros: Sound depth for size of unit. hanging option which was not stated or shown anywhere
  • Cons: I bought additional hanging mounts.

I am keeping these.

3rdGen, Amazon
20 June 2011
  • Summary: I sold my Klipsch RB-61's because I could not handle the harsh tweeter. The highs were tiring and it got to the point where I didn't want to listen to them. I have listened to my new Polk RTI-A3's for about 20 hours. In that short time I have been very impressed by the un-harsh clarity of the highs, the clear and clean mids, and the amount of bass that comes out of these speakers.

Great rears

Patt, Amazon
9 June 2011
  • Summary: I have the RTi A3's in use as my rear channel speakers in a 5.2 set up. They sound and look great. They are a little big so you'll need a larger area to position them. Just bought matching A5's as my fronts.
