Like the RTI A1, excellent, but takes plenty of time to get to that point.

Summary: Don't know where Polk is coming up with the 40 hour break in...takes way longer....100 plus. I would say closer to 200 with these RTI's. They sound harsh out of the box...voices just are not right. I went through this with my A1's...took a long time to smooth out/ clear up. Like another reviewer, I found even my old inexpensive Polk T15's sounded better...smoother, no ear stress/strain. I was even switching them out Friday Nights (movie night around here).
and would highly recommend these. I am using them as my front ...

Summary: I was skeptical to purchase these, but I needed to replace my floor speakers to a bookshelf type due to space limitations after a TV upgrade. I had Polk Audio floor speakers, middle of the road, that were 12 years old. I have to say, WOW, I am impressed. What a difference in sound quality. The crisp, clear sound was a huge difference from my older Polks. No regrets, and would highly recommend these.
Summary: Good value. Very sharp looking. Have to wall-mount for 2.2 music setup due to WAF. Without filtering, these things do not get along with close wall boundaries. Filtered above tuning, they sound wonderful.
Summary: These sound ok but I was spoiled by older Infinity speakers I had that were much heavier with larger woofers. I think they suffice in a small room if you're not looking for a lot of low end and they are nice and clear but I wouldn't exactly call them full range speakers. Overall, good for the price but look elsewhere if you want strong full range speakers for a home theatre or for full-throated rock music.
Summary: I finally received my speakers from Crutchfield and out of the box they were four stars. However, as they began to break in, the star was now five. They are accurate which many speakers are today, but they have one more trait that is rarely discussed today ... transition. The speed they have from a low passage to high is extraordinary.

Summary: Sound crystal clear when listening to songs with a lot of vocals also when listening to classical music such as that played by Frederic Chopin. BUT at the same time you can play tiesto, Dada life or 3lau and you will feel the bass come out. I recommend listening to Feed the Dada by Dada life How you love me by 3lau To experience some good bass And Why Georgia by john mayer Nocturne No.
