Best outdoor speakers I've heard, no need for subwoofer
9 September 2014
Summary: Great speakers, provide solid base when mounted in a corner - much more than I would expect of a speaker system lacking a subwoofer. I personally have these mounted in the corner where my porch meets the exterior wall. Sound easily fills the yard at low volumes, and neighborhood at high volumes. Installation is easy. Mounting brackets allow for a flush installation, or 45 degree angle when wall and ceiling meet at a 90 degree angle.
Summary: These are fantastic - amazingly rich sound with Bass for outdoor speakers. I use them with a sonos amp and the sound on my back deck and down to my pool is clear and full. The highs are not Tinny and the lows are rounded out and nice. They have also survived the heat and the ridiculous rain storms of Texas.
Summary: Didn't expect much from outdoor speakers but these have surpassed my expectations, can play loud, bass is good for the size, and never get distortion at high volumes. Mounting options will fit ceiling or wall mount, there on the large size so make sure to measure and attach bracket directly to studs or brick.
Summary: Excellent sound for their size. We used these to replace older in-wall speakers in our kitchen because they fit well with the decor. We mounted them in corners near the ceiling, which augments the bass a bit. They won't replace your floor-mounted speakers (unless you add a subwoofer) but you can hear medium-deep bass notes. We'll probably get another pair for our screen porch as soon as this sub-zero Minnesota winter goes away.
Summary: Love the sound of these speakers. Purchased for backyard and pool area. Incredible clarity at all volumes. Only issue is the clarity at high volume is so good, that I turn it up too loud and get complaints from some of my neighbors.
