Summary: This is a System Review of the Components I bought to Build my Ideal Surround system that would fit my Great Room. I am putting it in all of the Components as Reviews for those who might find it helpful for Building a System. I hope it helps. I was coming from a Pioneer Receiver with Bose Acoustimass Speakers all around.
Summary: The Polk LSI-7 is a great speaker for the discerning listener. Paired with the right subwoofer, it may be the best sound for the money. In my listening environment, they sound best with treble set back one notch on my Yamaha HTR 5230 receiver. I appreciate the high end drivers Polk used when listening to classical and jazz. They image very well creating an immersive sound stage. The small size and rear diffuser give you many placement options.
Summary: I needed to add a pair of speakers to my Polk Audio RM7500 system as I was downsizing from an old pair of mid grade tower speakers I was using at the time to make my 7.1 system complete. These are the perfect march, smaller than the old towers yet large enough to produce the sound needed for a front signal, and they fit the budget.
Summary: Arrival day! I scanned over the box to check for exterior damage and noticed no issues. I grabbed the box to lift it and immediately noticed the nice heavy weight and no shifting inside of the box. I placed the box in the living-room, quickly grabbed a box cutter and got to work. The packaging was spot on, and Polk did well to insure that no damage would happen to these babies during their travel to their new homes.
Summary: I purchased these to match the Lsi9's I have for my front speakers. I really like the sound from these. Qudos to Audio Sound Design for the great price and prompt delivery. I would not hesitate to order from them again.
