Summary: Not exactly a "con", but, as with any speaker, it might be difficult to match sound with existing speakers without hearing this unit. Consider adding similar Polk free-standing units with similar drivers. A sub is a must.
Pros: Good, clean vocals, which is the point with a center channel speaker. Build is very solid. Removable grille is a plus. Ability to flip over and direct sound at an angle is a cool feature.
Cons: Ordering sound eqipment on-line is analgous to getting a monitor or LCD TV without seeing it. The inability to test-drive the speaker may be an issue for some.
Pros: The sound from this speaker is very clear. Both speach and music sound like the real thing. Appears to be very well made with no physical defects. As always excellent service and shipping from Newegg.
Cons: Other than it is a little large, no cons. I knew when I ordered it that it was going to be big.
Summary: Good old fashioned quality speakers in a wood box. MIR Information Technology Inc recommended me to get this unit after checking in a local store which charges nearly double the price for the exact same unit.
Pros: I shopped around for a decent sound from a center speaker and this one sounds great.
Cons: Foot print of the device is not ultra compact, but its no issue for me as I have plenty of space.
Summary: If you're like me and are looking for crisp dialogue and a natural tone from your center, and you're not getting it...GET THIS!
Pros: I don't have money to burn, but I like decent sound. I bought a set of Fluance speakers, (little money but lots of research time!) and added 2 Polk PSW10's, but the center was WEAK. I finally couldn't stand it anymore, and after reading MANY reviews, went with a Polk CS10. Man, where do I start! ...
Cons: None for me, but it's pretty darn big, and weighs about 20lbs.
Summary: I got Monitor 60's and the CS10 for $340. Those speakers go for $800 at Best Buy. Newegg is the best. I find myself checking this site a few times a day. Polk audio has a wonderful softer sound. Not to sharp. BUY ANYTHING POLK. You can't go wrong.
Pros: Perfect fit. I recently got the monitor 60's and needed something to replace my old Infinity center which had on 2.5 woofer. Boy this sure does the trick. I have the 60's with the CS10, a 12" Velodyne sub powered by a Pioneer VSX1019 receiver. Also have the PS3 for my BD. Sound is simply amazing.
Pros: This speaker brings much more clarity and presence to the show compared to my old Yamaha center. But a warning, if you think you're going to sneak this into the setup without the wife noticing, think again, it will get noticed.
Cons: just one, trying to figure out where to put it.
Summary: UPS delivered without a scratch. Great deal.
Pros: Sounds great, looks great. It'll make your Monitor series jealous because of their looks, but they actually sound very similar. Sounds is in your face if you have it positioned and setup correctly.
Summary: The clarity of the speaker is great. I can't imagine a better speaker for the price.
Pros: I have the speaker hooked up to a yamaha rxv-861b receiver and it sounds great. I also have 2 older jensen Ls-6b front speakers and the cs10 blends in smoothly. I am very pleased with voice sound in my blue ray movies. I need much less volume to hear voices in movies. I highly recommend this cent...
Cons: the size of the speaker. I was able to move the speaker to the top shelf of my stereo stand. If you want this speaker to be placed in front of your tv you better make sure you will have enough room for it.
