Summary: I recently decided to downgrade a 12 year old 5.1 floor-standing speaker system to a smaller 3.1 bookshelf system that would take up less space in my TV room. I ordered the CS10 to replace a Klipsch Reference RC3-II.
Summary: I ordered this speaker from Crutchfield's scratch and dent outlet, and let me say I could not be more impressed! I ordered the item on a Monday morning, selected free shipping, and it arrived the next day.
Pros: Fast shipping, crisp highs, deep lows, beautiful wood/piano black finish, low profile, big sound, great price.
Summary: This center channel has far exceeded the relatively low price tag. No matter how loud the mains and how deep the bass goes on my HT system the voices are crystal clear. This center channel also handles some of the lows in my HT system.
Pros: sound is amazing, finish is superb.
Cons: if you don't plan for it the size may become a hassle.
Summary: For well under $100, you get good polk sound. Just make sure to check the dimensions.
Pros: Crisp, clear sound. A step up from an Onkyo HTIB center speaker, which I would have to turn the center channel way up on my receiver to hear whispers and other quite noises. Not anymore.
Cons: LARGE. I had to remove the back panel on my entertainment center to fit it into the shelf under my t.v. Even though I measured it prior to ordering, it was about 1/8" too tall to slide in the front.
Summary: I'm in the process of constructing a home theater and am upgrading from 5.1 to 7.2. I used Polk Audio RC85i in wall speakers for the surround back speakers and holy hell did I notice a difference in sound, clarity and sheer envelopment that I never experienced with my previous speakers.
