Summary: I had been considering buying this speaker for a while and for whatever reason didn't. My procrastination cost me $30 extra, but after hearing it I'm not the least bit upset! Those who say that your center channel is the most important speaker is exactly right.
Pros: Excellent sound!
Cons: It's a little big, but if you have the room go for it.
Summary: These comments are mainly for those with a hearing loss in the upper frequencies. The entertainment system is located in a large room that serves as a library as well as a music room(for a 3 manual Allen Organ). The Polk CS10 is located 15 ft. from the listener.
Summary: I purchased this center channel speaker along with 2- TSi 100's. So I have 4- 5 1/4" speakers across the front of the room. This is just the perfect size for me as I can turn it up and this speaker can handle the volume. But it's not so loud that you'll bother your neighbor.
Summary: Clear sound. Doesn't quite match my front speakers in ohms or volume. Have been tinkering around with adjustments via my AV Receiver setup features. The speaker is large and a bit bulky, but I have the room to accommodate it in the entertainment cabinet.
Summary: If you are familiar with Polk Audio speakers, then you already know they generally produce the finest quality speakers at every price point where they are represented. This CS1 center channel is no exception to that standard rule.
Summary: This is the second Polk Audio speaker I've bought. The first was another Center channel, though it was a gift for a friend. The clearity and bass response of this speaker out performed my expectations by quite a margin. I can only say good things, and the looks are very nice too.
Summary: I heard one statistic about 70% of the sounds comes from the center channel - right or wrong - this speaker is a sweet heart, still running perfectly fine 3 years later. For the price I paid excellent deal. I'm not into $$$$$ on a home theater system - my whole system was under $5000.
