Summary: I bought this as a Christmas present for my father, and liked it so much I replaced my slightly smaller/shallower Paradigm speaker with this Polk instead. I also run Polk 4" surround bookshelf speakers with a pair of Boston Acoustics 8" front speakers and a 10" Klipsch sub.
Summary: I have an Onkyo TX-SR606 receiver that came as part of an Onkyo home theater system, complete w/Onkyo speakers. The weakest speaker of the package was, by far, the center channel. I replaced it with the Polk CS10 center channel and could not be more satisfied. It brought the whole system to life!
Summary: I'm in the process of constructing a home theater and am upgrading from 5.1 to 7.2. I used Polk Audio RC85i in wall speakers for the surround back speakers and holy hell did I notice a difference in sound, clarity and sheer envelopment that I never experienced with my previous speakers.
Summary: This is a superb piece of equipment!! This center channel transformed my home theater tremendously.....it's a game changer!! This speaker delivers.....it cleared up all my dialogue issues, and enhanced the overall sound. Plus it was packaged very well and arrived 3 days earlier than estimated.
Summary: Just replaced an older and smaller center channel with the CS10 Center Channel and it sounds great. Can't get over the $100.00 value on this center for my application (secondary surround system in master bedroom). My older center channel lacked bass and was set up as a small speaker.
Summary: Paid $79.99. Price was a factor but so were reviews. Very good sound. Enclosure kind of big but gives you good sound. Sounds great with blue-ray DVD. Would buy more POLK brand. Good value. No Cons.
Summary: --Reviewing Polk Audio CS10 (black finish)--- This thing is huge and loud. I gave it five stars because it is very powerful and I found I could just have this speaker on and turn everything else off at times.
Summary: I love my new Polk center channel! This is a 2-way center speaker that does not have a dedicated midrange driver, but it does have two 5.25-inch woofers that handle the middle and low frequency tones. These woofers are made with bi-laminate organic fiber cones.
Summary: Purchased this based on good reviews. I will say it looks good, and it was a perfect size for my space. But the manufacturers made this just as cheaply as humanly possible. The 5-inch drivers made it sound as though a person is speaking through a paper-towel roll, or a tunnel. Very annoying.
