Summary: I purchased this Polk Audio CS10 to match it up with a pair of Polk Audio TSi200 front speakers for a home theater/ 7.1 surround sound setup. You notice the excellent sound quality right off the bat. Even regular TV sounds better. There are two points of concern, however, that one should keep in mind before purchasing this setup. First, these are not small speakers. They do stick out and if "unobtrusive" is your game this is not the setup for you.
Summary: I've been very happy with this speaker. It matches up with my RTI in wall speakers great sound-wise. I even watched some different sources with the center channel only and was really impressed with the clarity of the speech coming through.
Summary: This speaker is amazing. I tested it on some great FLAC vocal music (Tool and dredg) and I have never heard such clarity, even at loud volumes. This was recommended by an audiophile friend, and I can hear why. It is pretty hefty, but exceedingly worth the weight and size. Polk makes an amazing system and I would definitely recommend this to any audiophile.
Summary: The first thing I noticed, is that this is a large well built speaker. Looks good on the fireplace mantel just below the flat screen TV. When I first fired it up, the speaker produced clear music and vocals from a CD. It passed the movie test when I played the independence day DVD to see how it performed in 5.1 surround, it produced crisp and clear dialog from the actors. A good center channel speaker makes a big difference in the movie viewing experience.
Summary: I bought this speaker a couple of weeks ago and if I could give this thing a 11/10 I would. The sound quality on this thing is such a large leap over my previous center(a Yamaha that I got with a Home Theater in a Box set) I also upgraded my rear speakers to Polk Audio M3II's so it really helps the over quality of my surround sound. I already own some vintage Samsai SP-X9's for my fronts, so it's nice having some speakers that can keep up with it.
Summary: My old Optimus from Radio Shack was shot. I think I paid $100 for it. After searching around on the net, I ran into Polk Audio. I was familiar with the name and the sound quality. I was limited with space (width) due to my cabinet that I made. This one would fit, and the price was good too. I would recommend it.
Summary: This center channel is very nice IMO. The size of the speaker itself is BIG. I have read from other reviews, that it is a big center channel but really didn't know until i took it out of the box. The cherry color on the picture was not too appealing, but seeing it in person, it is VERY NICE. I am currently upgrading from an "In Box" setup, and this speaker is a very nice speaker for the price by all means.
Summary: The size, quality of sound and finish make this speaker a best buy. I installed it on top of a big screen HD Tv with a separate shelf and wow the sound is great. The black grilles blend into the scenery along with the black sides of it. Great little speaker with big boy sound. I also have bose speakers on the same system and hard to tell which one is better. I know which one cost more and it wasn't the polk speaker.
Summary: Was a little concerned when I opened the package and noticed only one input, my receiver has two center channels. By going through the manual on the receiver, I did find out how to use it with one input. The sound is very clean, good response throughout the range. Using it with an older Athena surround system and it blends in nicely. A nice speaker at a good price.
