Summary: I have a 7.1 theater system, being pushed by a Sony head unit. I had upgraded all of my speakers except for the center channel. I was using an off brand thing I found at a pawn shop. Dialog was muffled and my dad could never understand what was being said.
Summary: I bought this product to replace a 10 year old Cambridge Soundworks Center Plus speaker. A co-worker who's and audiophile recommended this product. Because I originally paid $250+ for the Cambridge center years ago I figured I'd have to spend the same type of $.
Summary: Many here have commented on how big this center channel speaker is, I do not feel it is that big at all. If you look at the dimensions you can easily see if this will fit into your existing setup or not, If you are expecting some tiny little speaker that you can tuck away this is not that, but at...
Very good for the money, voices are a bit washed out at low volume.

Summary: Other reviewers have noted that this speaker sounds a bit muddy for voices. I tend to agree at lower volumes, but at full volume it is very clear and pristine. There are some issues with my setup that are probably making this worse; I have a cavernous entertainment center that this sits in which...
Summary: This was the first of 9 speakers that I have purchased from Polk Audio (7.2 system). Great voice clarity for a center speaker. Very solid construction. Quality hook-up terminals on the back. Handles power very well- I have a 100 watt per channel system x 7 channels.
Summary: I bought this one year ago to replace a fading Cambridge Soundworks Center Stage Speaker. For any home theater set up, the center speaker is the work horse shouldering most of the sound reproduction load meaning this was an important buy.
Summary: I bought one of these to upgrade the center channel in my entry-level Polk RM6750 5.1 system. It has made an incredible difference in the way all my different sources sound. I didn't realize how much weight the center channel was pulling until I got this speaker.
Summary: The first thing I noticed, is that this is a large well built speaker. Looks good on the fireplace mantel just below the flat screen TV. When I first fired it up, the speaker produced clear music and vocals from a CD.
Summary: Perfect. Just perfection in a nice large unit. This is NOT your small little shelf unit you may have had in college or in prior 5.1 Home Theatre package units. This is a nice hefty (large magnets yeah!!) unit thats a great addition to any 5.1 or 7.1 stereo setup.
