Summary: I bought the Polk Audio CS10 Center Channel Speaker primarily because of the rave reviews it got. The first Polk Audio items I bought were just so-so (small satellite speakers) so I was depending on the reviewers and the Polk name when buying the Center Channel Speaker. Boy, am I ever glad I did! I was amazed at the rich and clear sound that pours forth from the speaker. Movie dialog sounds crisp as you would expect but cds sound great as well.
Summary: I purchased this center channel at Circuit city today. I paired it with a Sony STR DG520, Bose Acoustimass 10 cube surround sound speakers, Acoustic Audio PSW10. I have since played Transformers, Normal TV (digital cable), Halo 3, and Music Channel TV stations, and FM radio through it. I also listened to this against the $200 Bose Center channel, $250 Klipsch, $230 Boston Acoustic, and cheaper $110Polk Center Channel.
Summary: I decided to start building an audio system that would be versatile for movies and music. I paired this with a set of . And as a set I can happily say that they sound wonderful. Before even calibrating them with my , I was hearing things in my music and movie collection that I'd never noticed before.
Summary: The sound quality is great on this center channel. I am amazed by how the sound fills the room compared to what I am used to, and the price....wow, what a bargain. The highs and lows are very crisp, and stay that way when pumping up the volume. Can't go wrong on this one!
Pros: Sound quality and price are fantastic.
Cons: You will need some room to place this speaker, very large and heavy.
Summary: Paired it with Polk TSi400 (front), PSW10, TSi100 (surrounds), and Sony STRDH520 for my home theater. I found it very impressive, with clear and strong presence, perfect for movies, musicals, and operas.
Summary: I just completed my 7.1 system on our family room and watching a 7.1 blu-ray disc, the system was awesome but lacking something. I know I won't be satisfied so I went to crutchfield.com to look around. Thanks to the website's product knowledge topics and support I found Polk audio Tsi CS10 center channel speaker. It's a perfect companion to my Polk audio TSi 300 front speakers. Now I have a smaller version of a movie house in my family room.
Pros: crystal clear sound reproduction both in low and high volumes build quality ( looks high-end even for the lower price )
Cons: Size but not really. Take note of the specs and your available space before you buy.
Summary: this compliments the m70 fronts, m40s wide fronts & m70 surrounds perfectly. dialogue is clear, better than the mordaunt-short carnival speaker it replaced. is quite large so be prepared!! have mine sitting on top of my 60" lg plasma on a shelf attached to back of the tv, it's not that heavy, just long & wide! great setup for the beginner or budget minded audioholic like myself.
Summary: the old speaker i had was a center channel speaker from radio shack (optimus)very good but very old ,seen the deal at Crutchfield on the polk cs-10 center channel glad i did.running with the big dogs now, my infinty beta 50 & beta 10 with a velodyn 10 sub rubble across the street very awesome .
Pros: great speaker for the buck keep up the good work Crutchfield
Summary: Awesome center channel at a great price. Seems every time I try something new from Polk, I'm absolutely impressed. Had a small Sony center channel (part of a small surround pack) that I just couldn't understand the vocals. Needless to say, I don't have that problem anymore! I would highly recommend this center.
Pros: Sounds awesome, Much value for price.
Cons: Large, so make sure you have or can make room.
