Summary: I heard one statistic about 70% of the sounds comes from the center channel - right or wrong - this speaker is a sweet heart, still running perfectly fine 3 years later. For the price I paid excellent deal. I'm not into $$$$$ on a home theater system - my whole system was under $5000. So I spend less than $250 on my center channel.
Summary: Originally for my center channel speaker I took a Logitech 8" active sub woofer and turned it into a passive sub and jerry rigged it with an old car stereo tweeter because my center channel just wasn't getting it done. Found this guy at Crutchfield for a great price and also with free shipping which beat the local big box store and internet prices. It is just as good if not better.
Pros: Can't beat the price, especially with free shipping.
Cons: It is pretty big, but hey, bigger is better.
Summary: Well I went from a sony satellite 5.1 speaker set up to this as my primary center channel. What a difference. The clarity is better than I have ever heard. Its alot like being at the theater except I can turn it down if I feel it is to loud. This speaker is fairly large but it produces larger than life sound. If you struggle to hear dialogue then this is the center channel for you.
Summary: I bought this speaker as part of my HT and I couldn't be happier. It's solid quality! Crystal clear sound. If you are looking for a center channel, you can't go wrong with the CS10. As far as anything negative about it, I have none. I love it!
Summary: The center that came with my Sony 6600 HT in a box set has annoyed me for 6+ years. I was about to buy another set of smaller speakers in a set, that is, until I saw this one. This isn't the biggest and baddest you can buy, but that wasn't what I was looking for. I'm no real audiophile and I'm not a dude who needs to impress others with the size of my equipment (no pun intended). I just wanted something that wouldn't sound so puny watching movies or CNN.
Summary: I purchased this center channel speaker to replace my in-walls. With all the good reviews and feedbacks, I decided to give this a try. I was pleasantly surprised with the output of this speaker. The sound was clear with right amount of bass. I loved the sub-woofer type air vent on the back. I have to agree that bigger sounds better. I dont remember if i ordered black or Cherry but I received cherry which is not a big deal for me.
Target your money on the center channel. Best bang for the buck.

Summary: I wanted a good sound system without spending a fortune, so here's what I did -- I bought a cheap Philips Home Theatre sound system with a decent power rating and replaced the center speaker with the CS1. The result is spectacular! Even though the impedance didn't match (Polk=8ohms, Philips=4ohms) I didn't notice any loss of power, in fact I had to turn the center channel down slightly.
Summary: What a great item!! Still not broken in yet and I can already see/hear where this is going!! Paired with my (2) TSi 300's, they make a great team. The sound is so natural. Being a musician, I pay attention to the sound of the acoustic guitars more than anything else. The quality of a Taylor guitar really shines. It sounds as though it is being played live in my livingroom! You can't go wrong with this speaker: value, quality, & looks!
Summary: I have an Onkyo TX-SR606 receiver that came as part of an Onkyo home theater system, complete w/Onkyo speakers. The weakest speaker of the package was, by far, the center channel. I replaced it with the Polk CS10 center channel and could not be more satisfied. It brought the whole system to life! And, the sound quality from the Polk is top notch. It exceeded my expectations.
