Summary: My old Infinity center channel speaker was giving me fits...(I thought my hearing was getting bad). I found the foam suspension had deteriorated. I found this Polk CS10 and reviewed the specs and read the reviews. Normally, I would not buy a speaker without hearing it first..
Summary: WOW! The CS10 replaced a Pioneer SP-C21 which, on paper should be comparable or at least in the same ballpark. They both have 2- 5.25"s and a tweeter, but the Polk really brought out the dialogue in movies and is SOOO much crisper than the Pioneer.
Pros: Great center at a very affordable price with great service.
Summary: I have owned many companies including the expensive klipsch reference series speakers. I bought this CS1 for the 4th time. Y? Because every time I buy other speakers that are supposed to be better, I somehow miss the SOFTNESS of these speakers. They don't sound like a loud speaker or a loud horn.
Summary: I have a very nice Yamaha receiver, two Yamaha subs and the usual small satellite speakers, but there was something not right, so after doing some reading I decided it was the centre speaker, I read so many 5 star reviews on this CS10 unit I went what the heck, and got it, yes its big, but oh boy...
Summary: This is a nice center channel speaker for a great price. The aesthetics are pleasing, although I would've preferred the wood veneer all around. The shiny plastic on the ends just gives it the impression of something cheaper than what it is. The sounds is great and it really brings out the dialogue.
Pros: Great sound, good bass, and mids. Dialogue does not sound garbled.
Cons: Shiny plastic ends. Take away from the overall aesthetics of the wood veneer.
