Summary: outstanding! for surround fronts I have Yamaha ns1000 monitors, 300 hrs on snow-crew for those in '79 (good expenditure). The CS1's really fill the middle well---crisp accurate-- a good fit with the old yamaha's. all I need now is a similar deal on a powered 12" bottom. BUY THESE!
Summary: WOW !!! This little puppy puts out EVERYTHING it says AND MORE !!! Great looks and well constructed. Now for you purists out there, don't let the low price keep you away, the Polk CS1 will compare to speakers costing THREE or FOUR times the price. Thank you Polk and Ebay for a great buy.
Summary: Replaced a Boston Acoustics vr-10 with this thing. The vr-10 sounded pretty good being a 3-way speaker, but the cs1 blew it out of the water. Very clear and detailed speaker. In conjunction with with two polk r40 towers and two polk r10 bookshelf speakers and capped off by a Klipsch sub10 this home theater system rocks.
Summary: Solid construction, crisp and clear. Decent bass for no built-in sub woofers. Good price. The binding posts are quite nice, and the angled side to make the speaker angle up or down is quite a useful thing, also. These are great speakers, and some of the most attractive in my opinion. Would have been nice if it included a cloth cover for storing the speaker, but oh well. Matches well with Polk Audio Series II Monitor 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's, or 70's.
Summary: This polk audio center cs1 was a excellent choice for me cause i had a limited budget so i purchased it and been very happy since. The CS1 has crisp dialog , treble is just right and the sound is overall just right i give it a 10/10.
