User Review

James F., Newegg
22 July 2010
  • Summary: Even though I have not had these very long, I can already tell that I like them. Seriously thinking about replacing speakers at my pool with another set of these.
  • Pros: Awesome sounds for my deck. Tight bass and perfect balance for my receiver. Bought these to replace older/cheaper speakers on my deck. Music has taken on new listening pleasure. Easily installed under eaves with existing wiring.
  • Cons: None.

A great set of speakers

Edward F., Newegg
29 June 2010
  • Summary: They're loud, so if you mount them to your house, expect to "hear" the sound reverberate back through the walls. I placed some foam rubber between the bracket and the house, as well as a foam washer on the screws, and this really helped considerably.
  • Pros: Quality build, and great sound
  • Cons: None yet

Good speakers

Karl W., Newegg
28 June 2010
  • Summary: I would definately recommend these speakers. For the price i paid i could not have found better speakers.
  • Pros: I am running these speakers on an onkyo tx-608 7.2 receiver using zone two. I have only had the speakers for a few days so all I can say right now is that my initial impression is good. I had several people over this past weekend comment that the speakers sounded much better than my old speakers ...
  • Cons: Removing the grills. I thought I would paint the speakers to match the house but I struggled to get the grills off. The instructions say to use a paperclip. I tried and after a few minutes decided they can stay white.

Great Speakers!

Edward F., Newegg
4 June 2010
  • Pros: Great sound, high quality, secure mount. My 3rd set of Polk speakers, and have always been extremely satisfied - these don't disappoint.
  • Cons: None really. Just know that using them outside, you'll need a pretty decent amp if you want anything louder than background music - they'll handle-it, but there's a lot a ambient sounds outdoors.

Great choice

Giles P., Newegg
31 May 2010
  • Summary: I listen mainly to classic and hard rock/metal. I thought I'd have to boost the bass slightly based on other reviews I'd seen, but at normal listening volumes I find this unnecessary.
  • Pros: Excellent soundstage and surprisingly good bass for the size. Detail and stereo imaging is great, treble is well maintained even when listening significantly off-axis.
  • Cons: The center mass is significantly displaced from the pivot point on these speakers, causing them to rotate out of position rather easily from vibration and temperature changes. After a few days, I had to reset the position as they had started to rotate downwards.

Excellent Speakers

  • Summary: Got these to replace some aging Cambridge Soundworks speakers - no regrets.
  • Pros: Great bass for an outdoor speaker; excellent overall sound; cheap. I like the mounting brackets that come with it - worked well mounted on my deck posts. Easy to swivel to where I want the sound.
  • Cons: none.

These sound amazing.

  • Summary: Well worth the price and the sound coming from them is truly breathtaking. They rival home towers in sound quality! Don't hesitate just get 'em.
  • Pros: Purchased 2 pair of these for an indoor restaraunt settting. Amazing bass response for their size, not enough for clublike sound but extremely smooth response for med loud setting. My amp puts out 150 watts per channel and drives these really well at 1/4 volume. The sound from these is crystal cl...
  • Cons: None really. They are somewhat heavy, around 7 pounds so make sure they are mounted securely.
