Summary: These Polk Atriums Rock the Patio! I have them tied to my Indoor Sony 7.1 Surround-sound system, so I can switch back and forth, or just rock the patio. Awesome sound and quality... they come to life when pushed by my Yamaha amp. I Highly Recommend!
Summary: Have had these outside under the eve so they stay pretty dry. These ROCK!!! Got them about 3 or four years ago and they work perfectly and have a great sound! For the price these are the best.
Summary: I needed to replace two old outdoor speakers around the pool, and I had a doubt about buying a different brand. So far I don't regret it, these speakers sound even much better than the ones I had before( a very well known Brand)the sound of highs and lows are crystal clear.
Defective product, terrible service, what else matters?

Summary: Sorry to pan these 'cause they sound great and look good but they aren't waterproof and that is unacceptable. I bought a pair three years ago and two more pairs a year later. After the first summer, that's only 5 months outside, one was full of water. After the second summer another was flooded.
Simply the best speakers for outdoor applications money can buy.

Summary: Excellent speakers, the last set of Polk Audio Atrium 45’s lasted for 11 years on my boat. You cannot find a better set of speakers that can withstand the marine environment and provide crystal clear sound.
Summary: I recently did a speaker install on my deck. I have three sets of these and I couldn't be happier. For the price, the audio quality is exceptional. If you're an audiophile, you probably wouldn't be buying anything this small anyway, and for the 99.999% of the rest of us who just want a good crisp...
Summary: I did a side by side comparison against my normal front speakers, a pair of "vintage" Celestion SL-6 's. The Celestion was better, but not by a lot...and they cost a lot more than these when I bought them new in the late 80's.
Pros: I got 2 pair of these to use as my 7.1 surround system speakers (on sale at the Egg). Considering price per performance I think they're pretty hard to beat. The bracket worked well for mounting them to the ceiling, I didn't have to go searching for mounts.
Cons: Yes, they're a little brighter than you might like for a set of front speakers, but not that bad considering price and size. I just used them as my back 4 surround speakers for a 7.1 system. As all the other reviews say...yeah they're a little bright but the price on sale....wow, and how I use th...
Summary: Polk support is outstanding. I had also purchased a set of Atrium 55 speakers, and left in the box for a future install. When I openned the box, I found that one of the speakers had a broken baffle. I called Polk, and a new speaker and baffle assembly were promptly sent. These guys are first class.
Pros: For the price, these speakers cannot be beat. They install easily, look good, and perform well for their size.
Cons: Bass is somewhat weak, but that should be expected, based upon the size of the product.
