Summary: Been using polks for 30 years and these are excellent......even my wife like could tell the difference and she usually can't tell the difference between a transistor radio and good speakers. She is however a most wonderful lady and perfect in almost every way. The best thing is they sound like a live performance, so they are great for musicians who sometimes have a more critical ear. As with all Polks, they reproduce what goes in them....
Summary: Great once properly positioned and tuned. When I first hooked these up they lacked major bass and high sounded distorted. I used microphone calibration to find best settings. Helped a lot adjusted to 48hz it seemed to be the sweet point for these with some treble boost! Still wasn't getting the correct full sound I was seeking so I positioned these in corners of my home theater and I tell you what they performed!
Summary: I got the Polk speakers on line for about $260 for the pair, including shipping. They sound great, look great in the cherry finish, and don't take up a lot of room. The bass is a little weak but that's to be expected in speakers of this size. Overall I love them.
Summary: Well I read all reviews and I am surprised that so many of these are actually good. I guess the people did not compare to other brand. I do compare to 1978 model Technics SB4000 linear phase speaker system which has 45-20kHz, 90 db sensitivity, 2 way. Is turned out that Technics are much much better in sound much clear bass and great mid range so I am returning polks asap. Very disappointed of polls which sond murky.
Summary: Combined with BIC F12 and was very pleased with results. The Polk monitor series are terrific on high frequencies and very pleasing on midrange sound quality. Combining with great subwoofer makes for a very pleasant experience. May or may not be audiophile quality but has a great sound at a very moderate price. Highly recommend!
