Summary: I have paired this two of these speakers with the Polk Audio 255c-LS (center channel) and two 700LS ceiling surround speakers, and they sound fantastic. I integrated an older Onkyo sub-woofer into the system, which is absolutely necessary for complete sound. The covers attach to the speakers with magnets, so they are easy to take off and clean. The only issue I had was with the plastic screw tabs that hold them to the drywall.
Polk Audio 265-LS High Performance In-Wall Loudspeaker
19 February 2014
Summary: I recently put in a home theater and wanted to go the in-wall route for my speakers. I hesitated on this choice as I would like to consider myself an audiophile that understands some of the limitations of this decision haha. I did a lot of research online, as most people reading this comment are, and decided to go with this speaker pair. I wanted something that could give me good impact and clarity.
Summary: THis is an easy to install, almost "invisible" in the wall speaker. Obviously bass is not so good (need a subwoofer), but could do without one. Like it a lot. My only personal comparison is with a pair of Bowers and Wilkins CWM 800 wall/ceiling speakers. The Polk 265-LS is a better sounding speaker, but if the B&W speakers were still easily available (they have been discontinued, I am told) I would purchase the B&W speakers (but they are not quite as "invisible").
Pros: Easy install, good looking (because they are not obtrusive).
Summary: I got a set of these Polk Audio speakers, and really impress with the sound. The sound is very crisp and sharp. I recommend these speakers to anyone who is trying to upgrade there home theater.
