Summary: Really nice speakers for the price. I was able to get them on sale here. I was blown away by the build quality. They don't compete with my NHT setup but I didn't expect them to. I bought them for a friend but I could live with them for movies/tv/music. It's been a while since I listened to them and I only had them for a few days, but this is what I remember: The bass was good, a bit muddy. Treble was a bit hot. Mids were clear and had some warmth.
Summary: The MSRP on this floor standing speaker is only $129.00ea. Each cabinet encloses a 1" soft dome tweeter and 3 5.25" drivers. Two of the 5.25" driver are dedicated to lower frequencies while the other 5.25" driver is a mid-range. I like older hi-fi equipment and my receiver/amp is a later 90's era Yamaha RX-V795a Audio/Video 5.1 DD/DTS capable unit rated at 85wx5ch @ .04THD which is an extremely clean and distortion free signal and is actually conservatively rated.
Pros: Small footprint, contains 2 5.25" drivers for lower frequencies. 1 5.25" driver for midrange frequencies, and a 1" soft dome tweeter for crisp highs
Cons: At this price point, function is put before form in the cabinet resulting in an enclosure that isn't the best lookng.
Excerpt: After reading a number of reviews of stereo equipment in my price range, I decided to buy these speakers and an Onyko 8020 stereo receiver for use with an old turntable I inherited from a friend. The goal was to put together a decent analog stereo setup for under $. I think I succeeded. For the money, these look and sound fantastic.
Value, bang for the buck, and easily the best budget audiophile speaker by far!

Summary: I've been an audiophile for quite a few years. I've owned many expensive speakers like Paradigm, Totem, etc....For the money, these speakers are absolutely phenomenal. Granted, I have them hooked up to a Naim Nait 5i $1500 integrated amp, but I like them so much, they are now my main speakers. They are the best value out there and nothing that I've used can touch them for price:performance.
Summary: This Pioneer is a pretty good speaker. Not the best but pretty good especially considering the price. I used three for home theater with a tower on it's side for my center channel. I find most centers to be too small considering it's such an important channel in home theater. One important thing when powering these is your receiver. Different receivers have different sounds. I hated these with an Onkyo. Hooked these up to my Yamaha RX-V571 and had much better results.
Pros: Quality matching drivers. Design A real crossover network

Summary: This 5.1 system is awesome. Watching virtually any blueray move now is an incredible experience, a far cry from my former 'sony' system. I paired these speakers with the Marantz NR1403 receiver. Also, listening to cd's and my old vinyl had been sorely missed. the combo of the towers and powered sub not only make the room vibrate but does this with super clarity. I highly recommend this set of speakers. They sound and look fantastic and at a great price.

Summary: I got the whole system for use in a 10x15 home theater/projector room. So far, I have been 100% happy with this purchase and am excited for the next sale to replace the rear bookshelf speakers with 2 more front floor standing speakers. No complaints with the current bookshelf speakers but I like the more uniform look and sound and I can move them to the side channels to make better use of them.
Summary: I highly recommend these speakers. 'They look great and provide great audio for the price!
Pros: For the money, you can't beat these speakers. They have great audio reproduction in the upper frequency range for things like vocals and guitar. They look great and seem to be well constructed. For home theater, you can't beat these speakers if you are on a budget.
Cons: If I had to point out a flaw, I would say the only problem I have found with these speakers is the low end audio frequency reproduction. I would recommend adjusting the crossover of your amplifier and making sure your powered subwoofer is cut off at a frequency that will pick up some of the lost audio range.
