Summary: There are great speakers and really there isn't much difference between these and models costing 2x or even 3x as more other than aesthetics. These speakers will seem a bit "flat" (due to the 3, 5.25" woofers most likely) and for a "brighter" sound you will want a good EQ and or perhaps a pair of more highs oriented bookshelfs.
Summary: Got these for my home theater. Paired them with equivalent Panasonic center and bookshelf speakers and a Harmon Kardon receiver. Very good sound. I have owned a lot of Pioneer products over the years, you really can't go wrong... There is better quality out there, and you will pay for it.
This 6-ohm tower is adequate for some sound systems but limiting in others.

Summary: Visual: 3 - About average. These are attractive looking speakers to my eyes. The grills conform to the actual speaker dimensions (i.e. round) instead of the more uninteresting standard rectangular "coverall" on most speaker enclosures. Even in the plain black-grained veneer they are easy on the eye.
Summary: It's hard to find a pair of speakers for a good price that actually delivers like they're supposed to. These serve my purposes perfectly. I live in a townhouse and no matter what floor I'm on, I can hear perfect sound.
