Summary: I love music, but I'm 31 and I've never had higher end gear. At this price it is hard to call this higher end, but these speakers (with a good amp and a good source) are the first time I've ever heard music in the way that makes people spend tens of thousands of dollars. When properly set up and spaced, they can create a transparency and sound field you will never experience with any soundbar, speaker dock, or headphones. In fact, this is my second pair of them.
Excerpt: I didn't want expensive audiophile speakers, just some better than LG HDTV movie sound quality, and good enough sound for some music play, mostly jazz and classical, and some oldies rock. The Pioneer SP-BS22-LR speakers fit the bill and perform well per online reviews I consulted before buying. The only Con I find is difficulty to mount to speaker stands.
Pros: Attractive Design, Easy To Set Up, Good Power Output, Great Sound Quality
Wonderful sound, price can't be beat--perfect for the budget audiophile

Summary: Great sound for bookshelf speakers, especially the highs and mids. For the price (I got them for around $100/pair) I can't imagine a better pair of bookshelf speakers. They are about 9" deep--not small, so make sure they will fit where you need them--but they are worth the shelf space.
Summary: I could not believe my ears when I first played with these speakers. My only home theater equipment I had before I got these speakers were a Sony 7.1 receiver I got from NewEgg for $150, and a set of Polk Monitor 45B bookshelf speakers for $200. At the time, I was perfectly content with my setup and didn't see myself upgrading for a while. Two years later, I figured it was time.
Summary: I'm no audiophile so I can't compair these to other speakers on the market. All I know is these sound amazing. I'm hearing little subtle aspects in the music, like soft cymbal work, or background rhythms that I'd never noticed before. They have a great stereo image; sounds like the band is in the room. These have a lot of bass, but if you listen to heavy music you might need the sub. Jazz, classical, softer rock all sound fantastic without the sub.
Summary: These speakers are simply awesome. I bought these for a compact theater that I was putting in my apartment. The price really fluctuates depending on when you get them, but as a whole, the deal on these is very good. I purchased these not using any rear speakers in addition. These serve as a 2.1 setup. The bass response on these is very good. If these are going into a smaller space, you will not need a subwoofer for adequate bass.
Seriously Good Speaker Pair At A Laughably Low Price; Buy Yours Before They Disappear From The Market

Summary: I didn't really need any speakers, but I've been reading so many good reviews and reports from audio enthusiasts in various forums and publications that I have been curious about these speakers for a couple years. Finally ordered a pair on sale and received them yesterday. I have large Klipsch Forte speakers in my living room flanking a custom built cabinet I designed to match the speakers. The set looks great - nothing will ever supplant them.
Summary: These speakers are incredible. Price paid: $60 setup: speakers are on computer desk 3-4ft away from ears. computer > Fiio D3 (DAC) > Lepai 2020A+ > bs22-LR and it sounds incredible. ------------ \/ Behringer HA400 > multiple headphones It reminds me of the first time I ever used high quality headphones (ATH-M50s) as I went from those cheap logitech 2.1 systems with no mids at all. Now I have all the mids in the world and it really blows you away.

Summary: Got these on a GREAT deal from Amazon-- (59.90$ !!!) and I must say they really live up to the hype. Just un-boxed them and fired them up on my near field desktop set up. Source is nothing fancy, just my Nexus 7 tablet. Running off of a YJ Audio three tube 6z4/6n3 pre-amp (with 6n3s replaced with upgraded 5670 military-grade tubes) along with a YJ Audio Danzz-designed TPA3116d2 power amp (with upgraded caps and Coilcraft SER2915L inductors).
Highly recommended, amazing sound even at MSRP. Performs better than they have a right to at this price point!

Summary: Wow. My short review: if you want well performing speakers, speakers that perform light years beyond what they have a right to perform at given the price, just buy these. They are worth it. The end. . I got these on sale for 1/2 of the MSRP, and I have to say... wow. The performance of these speakers is nothing short of astounding. At higher volumes they just continue to sing as well as they do at low volumes.
