Summary: I got these to replace a couple of large Polk RTi fronts in order to avoid block the sides of a wall-mounted plasma. So far, so good--although they certainly don't have the same bottom end as the Polks. On the other hand, the mid and upper range for these speakers, especially considering their low cost, is pretty impressive. But if you're going to use these as fronts in a home-theater setup, I recommend a really good subwoofer, such as SVS.
Excerpt: We got a turntable and hooked it up to an old receiver, but needed a pair of speakers. We live in an apartment and didn't have much speace. When reading online, these seemed to have the good reviews and I would have to agree with them. For an apartment, these speaksers are more than adequate. I do think there'e room for improvement at the low end - maybe a tighter bass sound would be nice.
Pros: Attractive Design, Easy To Set Up, Great Sound Quality
Summary: Great sound. I initially purchased these as interim speakers for a second home. These are great speakers for the price and I may not replace them. I have ordered the matching center speaker to build on the 5.1 surround system.
Summary: These speakers represent a good price to performance ratio. I find the range of treble to bass very good considering the size. I'm using these in my living room (20' x 20'). The sound is better than any other bookshelf speakers I've had. I like music, and am more than satisfied with these speakers. You could spend more and get better, but I've spent more and had worse...
Quick review: Cheap price, but quality build and sound!

Summary: I never had a home stereo, so I wanted to buy one. However, I'm also not made of money so naturally I was on a budget. After a lot of research and testing, I settled on these speakers... and boy are they worth it! Are these top of the line? No. Are these speakers huge? No. But are they packed with sound and good quality audio? Yup! These bookshelf speakers are over a foot tall, and fit nicely on my table next to my turntable.
Summary: Better overall than other brand name speakers I recently bought at 400. The Pioneer Sp Bs22 Lrs deliver good detail, decent bass and good sound stage (sense of live space) for jazz, acoustic, classical, Hendrix & Co. Where the other speakers won was in radio pop, where it's all about forward, in your face, danceable sound. Keepers.
