Awesome Monitoring Speakers!

Phase_one, B&H Photo
15 January 2014
  • Excerpt: These monitoring speakers are perfect for the modern day Producer/DJ. The ability to disable the EQ for Production work and enable for DJ work on the fly with the included remote is absolutely priceless. The clarity of the various frequency ranges and power these speakers produce is awesome; high, mid, and low frequencies are spot on. Build quality is top notch and they look better in person as compared to pictures.
  • Pros: Production And Dj Uses, Remote controlled, Sound quality
  • Cons: none

Pioneer nailed it.

Mr.Green, Amazon
21 September 2013
  • Summary: Pioneer must have been going for a set of speakers that can be detailed but also perform very strongly to give an immersive experience for the dj/producer/songwriter. If that was their goal they nailed it. Yeah the treble is strong... but so is everything else. The mids, and bass take their stand along side their slightly taller brother mr. highs. The bass is slightly emphasized and done very potently, eliminating any need for a subwoofer even in large rooms.

RF Interference

atpdefiler, B&H Photo
28 February 2013
  • Excerpt: Works exactly as advertised, simultaneous input connections and very sleek volume knob with quick input switch, equalizer on/off and mute/unmute controls. One thing to note here is that you can't listen both inputs at a time, you can just switch between them, you need a mixer for that, Pioneer don't clearly state that in product specs.
  • Pros: Clear Sound, Easy To Use, Equalizer, Output Power, Simulatenous Inputs
  • Cons: RF interference, Size

One problem only

Gokhan Ileri "AGI", Amazon
26 February 2013
  • Summary: Works as advertised, not so flat as an honest studio monitor, a little tailored to electronic music but still fine, it has a built-in EQ anyways. The main problem is, you have to kiss your cellphone goodbye while using these since they can pick up RF signals better than a wireless card, and it will bother you so much. Why Pioneer engineers have not thought of EM RF shielding? No freaking idea... 3 stars since we are living in a smartphone age..
