Great speakers for the price

MBR, Amazon
  • Summary: Great speakers for the price. I am using a Sony 140/5.2 receiver and that is not quite enough power to drive them, but the sound quality is a dramatic improvement over my 12 year old Bose 5.1 system.

Steve Taunton, Amazon
6 September 2014
  • Summary: These were coupled with an Onkyo 7.1 surround receiver that was using good, more expensive but unmatched stereo speakers. All I can say is this is what surround sound should sound like!

Please pay attention to the size

Vinicius, Amazon
22 July 2013
  • Summary: I bought these and had to return to Amazon due to its size, once I would not fit on my rack. The front, center and surround speakers are smaller comparing to other options and this is a plus! However the sub is way bigger than other similar products, not in terms of width, but the height. It is about 50% taller than others... and heavier as well!

a Good sound for you

Johan K., Newegg
3 April 2013
  • Pros: Enjoying the ONKYO SKS-HT690 5.1-Channel Home Audio Speaker System small stature and big in sound. Fits perfectly with the other Onkyo amplifiers.
  • Cons: The price quality is quite good at this and at Newegg. Recommend everyone to buy at Newegg.

Great set of speakers

david d., Newegg
22 January 2013
  • Summary: Other than the slightly lacking lower midrange, these speakers sound great, the sub puts out some awesome bass, and the highs sound awesome just listen o the movie the devil inside (the sonic scream sounds AMAZING ) And as always, Newegg delivery is awesome
  • Pros: Great sound, heavy little speakers, awesome price when on sale.
  • Cons: Lacking slightly in the lower mid levels, they only have 3 1/2" midrange (while listening, I would like to have a 5 or 6" mid for full audio spectrum )

Big sound, little cash

A nerd, Amazon
10 January 2013
  • Summary: Great sounding system, especially for under 200$. My friend and myself both ordered a h/k avr1700 receiver and different speaker systems (his being a Polk system ) and this one sounds crisper and more full bodied, in fact he liked it so much more, that he is boxing up his and ordering this system. Yea it has push terminals, but so what? And for those who say the center channel is inadequate, no way, if anything, the rear surrounds are a little on the weak side.
