here with the LS-T10 - looking to resolve that issue of poor TV sound
16 November 2014
Summary: One of the emerging trends of 2013 has been the speaker base. They've appeared from all quarters - including Onkyo, here with the LS-T10 - looking to resolve that issue of poor TV sound, but without treading down the full AV receiver and surround sound speakers path.
the dialogue always feels like happening in an empty warehouse
History Nuts "WWII Nuts", Amazon
8 November 2014
Summary: Exceptional as a Bluetooth music speaker, but too much boom for movie dialogue. I set the bass to the lowest level and use the "News" mode which supposed to have clearer dialogue, but the movie dialogue is still murky and has too much surround effect.
Summary: as stated in other postings, if you try to leave tv speakers on you will get echos and off sync audio...even while using 'Optical. seems to be a lot of hum when using the analog mini plug...have to check into it more. Jumped on it for the price Oh! ..
Great sound system for someone who has difficulty hearing
Lucinda Hodges, Amazon
12 October 2014
Summary: I bought this sound system for my husband who has difficulty hearing, especially understanding dialog in movies. Normally, to hear properly he has to turn the sound way up which drives the rest of us out of the room. So, I was desperately hoping this system would solve that problem and it did.
Summary: Sound is way better than the 42 LG LED built in speakers, although not as good as thought a 5.1 Pioneer A/V receiver. I'm using optical audio cable from the TV. The TV is connected to a DishTV Hopper via HDMI cable. The Onkyo is quirky, in combination with the LG TV.
Summary: Purchased this during one of the Gold Box Deals of the day sales. Unit was about what I was expecting. I bought this to replace my existing soundbar / subwoofer setup. The Onkyo unit was pretty easy to setup, about the hardest part was getting the fiber cable plugged into the unit.
Nice Sound Bar - MUCH Better Than TV Speakers, Not As Good As True 5.1
A. Fuller, Amazon
23 September 2014
Summary: I purchased this sound bar because it was a daily deal at a great price and I wanted to simplify my setup. This unit replaced an older Onkyo 5.1 surround sound system. The Onkyo LS-T10 sound bar is a handsome unit and looks good under my TV.
Summary: This is a great sound system for what I paid for it. If you can, wait for it to go on sale, I bought is for 175. I have a 55" TV and it fits perfectly on the sound system. I was nervous because the instructions says "up to 55" so I thought it'd be a little small, but it was just fine.
Summary: Like the look of it. It seems to be well built. The sound is good, but not great. Certainly an upgrade from the TV speakers. It was a breeze to hook up and the TV (Samsung) communicated with it instantly and shut off its speakers. The TV remote controlled the volume on the unit.
