I'm very pleased with this unit

Mark G. Gillen "racecrazytoo", Amazon
21 November 2014
  • Summary: I'm very pleased with this unit. In our master bedroom, where the TV is located in an alcove, this unit fits perfectly and performs beautifully. The TV speakers were simple inadequate to the task. Granted when positioning this unit pay close attention to having space on either side due to the side discharge nature of some of it's speaker. What made this unit particularly attractive is that it eliminates the need for a separate AV Receiver which is exactly what I wanted.

here with the LS-T10 - looking to resolve that issue of poor TV sound

Allen, Amazon
16 November 2014
  • Summary: One of the emerging trends of 2013 has been the speaker base. They've appeared from all quarters - including Onkyo, here with the LS-T10 - looking to resolve that issue of poor TV sound, but without treading down the full AV receiver and surround sound speakers path. It's an evolution of the soundbar idea, packing all you need into one box. And rather than taking up extra space around your TV, it's ready to double-up as a stand on which your TV can sit.

the dialogue always feels like happening in an empty warehouse

History Nuts "WWII Nuts", Amazon
8 November 2014
  • Summary: Exceptional as a Bluetooth music speaker, but too much boom for movie dialogue. I set the bass to the lowest level and use the "News" mode which supposed to have clearer dialogue, but the movie dialogue is still murky and has too much surround effect. Whatever movie it is, the dialogue always feels like happening in an empty warehouse. Especially when my kids are watching cartoons, I wish there is an option to just turn the bass off.

Good for what it is. Maybe not as great as advertised.

Dana Fuller, Amazon
6 November 2014
  • Summary: Set up was simple. Not impressed with the fact the function and setting lights are on the top of the unit. It would make more sense to have it displayed on front or even transmitted to the TV. Overall a decent sound. Better than the TV speakers for certain and perfect for our 12x13 room. Also a cool unit for pairing with my iPod. If all you need is a little extra volume and sound control and space is limited then this is a good product and I would recommend it.

Unplugging the unit is not easy because i have to reach behind other equipment

BVGCKG, Amazon
4 November 2014
  • Summary: This product will not work with my Amazon TV, using an HDMI cable from the Amazon TV to the TV and an optical cable from the TV to this Surround System. I've tried contacting Amazon numerous times and i keep getting a message that says "they have referred the problem to a technician". I finally got frustrated and decided to return this item and now its past the return date.

felt that the words were indistinguishable unless we turned up the TV louder than we would like. Of course

A Well-Read Woman, Amazon
25 October 2014
  • Summary: My 98-year-old Grandfather used to have to turn up the volume on the TV to a level that made everyone else in the house feel deaf. He simply couldn't hear the dialogue, and so he had to make it loud enough to make out the words. We understood; we, too, felt that the words were indistinguishable unless we turned up the TV louder than we would like.

Syncing issue fix when combining with other speakers

C. Lugo, Amazon
24 October 2014
  • Summary: You CAN use these speakers with other speaker systems or TV speakers, but you will need to use the analog (3.5mm) output to avoid the syncing issues. Make sure your other speakers are connected via 3.5mm or RCA as well. If you only have one 3.5mm/rca output then get an audio splitter to hook two systems to it. The problem with syncing arises from the digital-to-analog conversion that the ls-t10 has to make when connected via digital coax/toslink.

much better on hearing dialog than my old Samsung 5

Amazon Customer, Amazon
18 October 2014
  • Summary: I was pleasantly surprised with the sound quality. I was sceptical about the sub woofer, but it adds enough bass for me, and gives depth to the TV or music. And on tV the sub does not over power the speach, much better on hearing dialog than my old Samsung 5.1 system with a small center channel speaker. It did take some set up to synch the TV sound and set up the TV remote. But once I actually read the directions, it was easy and works great.
