Summary: I purchased this sound bar for my parents who were in need of something to help boost and clear up dialogue and would add some kick to their t.v. shows and movies. The quality of the sound bar and the wireless sub-woofer are excellent with a nice finish that would compliment most any display and the room it is in.
Summary: Sound bar arrived well packaged and on time. Was extremely easy to set up and performs as advertised. Love the auto on feature when the optical input senses audio output from the tv. No problems working with TV remote. The included remote has a sub level adjustment that is great for late nights when watching movies.
Pros: Easy set up. Sub level and sound mode control on included remote.
Cons: A HMDI input and output would have made this perfect for multiple source systems.
Summary: An excellent product. We recently moved into a new home with a great room, cathedral ceiling, open concept, etc. Running wires for my surround system wasn't an option here; as with most people who go to a sound stand/sound bar system, we were interested in something that looked great as well as sounds great. Started with tv-stands (Samsung 55" LED).
Pros: Sound quality, wireless sub, bluetooth, automatically turns on when tv turns on and goes off when no signal detected for 5 minutes, looks very good on the wall under the tv.
Cons: No on-screen display to show settings/levels (can't be done with products like this, where sound comes in from an optical cable, as opposed to having HDMI inputs into the soundbar and a HDMI output to the tv).
Summary: Although there were many cheaper models to choose from I purchased the Onkyo as I had recently purchased an Onkyo Amplifier which I was very happy with. My wife and I have been complaning that certain spoken words on certain programs were difficult if not impossible to hear. What I found is that there was little to no improvement with spoken words although music does sound much better.
Cons: High cost A USB connection located on the back of the unit so if it is mounted on a wall you can't use it
Summary: I'm a long-time Onkyo owner and have owned at least 3 of their AVRs and home theater speaker systems. This sound bar packs multiple speakers into a horizontal bar that sits underneath the TV. I love the wireless subwoofer, which lets me locate the unit anywhere in my room. Currently, I have this in my bedroom and it's perfect, as my apartment is small and I don't want to have wires running all over the place for a 5.1 system.
Summary: I've been a big Onkyo fan since a friend of mine turned me on to them back in the early '90s. Remember the store called Good Guys? We went in to find a mini-stereo and told me about Onkyo. I have a receiver I purchased in 1999 still used for my plasma TV in the basement so when I upgraded to a 40" LED TV for ground floor, I naturally looked at Onkyo products. I like the Bluetooth feature for streaming my music from iOS devices. Not sure if I can do from my MacBook Air.
Beefy sound with minimalist design and feature set

Summary: Onkyo's LS-B50 is a near-premium priced sound bar with sound quality worthy of its pricing but comes with a few minor quirks that holds it back from achieving bona fide acclaim. LIKED: + Sound quality is excellent. The speaker bar is plenty loud and performs an opulent and crisp delivery across all ranges. There is a big difference in sound quality with this bar versus other products in the sub 300 dollar range. + The physical design is impressive.
