Jings! Did you say loud?

CMD400, Richer Sounds

  • Summary: With a project essential turntable, an Onkyo amp and an (old) Sony CD player these speakers are fantastic. I had to plug the bass 'holes' and then turn off the direct button and turn down the bass and treble. It was just too much for my living room! But now, it's perfect.

Great speakers

Urbanhunter, Richer Sounds

  • Summary: These are my first monitor speakers. I was tempted by the price. They are clear and look great with the grilles on and off. The spikes come included (be careful not to scratch the floor and with little kids... They're sharp). I went for the walnut look and I love it.

Great speaker - belies its size

Geoff777, Richer Sounds

  • Summary: These speakers are very well balanced - they need a little time to settle in, yet sound great anyway straight out of the box. They are adaptable coming with sponge bungs to experiment with in the 2 ports (one back one front) - if backing them against a wall closer than 18 inches - it would seem a...

Brilliant stereo imaging & clarity of sound

  • Summary: Firstly I must say that at the age of 79 I am hardly qualified to give a "proper" review as my hearing loss above 2.2 K is significant ! never-the-less these speakers have "given me back" my enjoyment of classical music. My previous Castle Harlechs' had packed up and were no longer viable.

Great sounding slim floorstanders

SJTek, Richer Sounds
11 January 2016
  • Summary: Using these with a Marantz mcr603. I understand speakers need time to run in. They will often start to sound smoother and less harsh and the bass will improve however I was amazed at how good these sounded straight out the box.
  • Pros: great sound slim cabinets
