Summary: On my first visit the sales staff were only too willing to let me listen to different speakers, There was no pushy sales chat and I was able to leave and think about things. On my second visit i was undecided whether to buy walnut or black speakers, Richer sound let me try walnut in my own home and...
Summary: This was a significant upgrade from some much less powerful speakers so a difference was to be expected. However, the sound quality has been excellent across various music genres offering both depth and clarity and has reignited our love of music.
Summary: I used to have a Paradigm that was more expensive in comparison to the BX5, and was apprehensive at first if the BX5 can match or come close to the Paradigm. I was surprised how natural the BX5 sounds and the vocals are well defined.
Pros: build quality , good vocals , open sound stage , controlled bass
Summary: I had a pair of Missions (new ones) before but never got on with them. I think I like Monitor Audios 'sound' in general. Great sound punch and detail at volume all types of music Still listenable at lower volumes - missions needed to be driven hard to get good imagery not these Running with Yamaha...
Summary: I've had a home demo with q acoustics concept 20s, Dali Zensor 3s, and the huge q acoustics 2050. These Bx5s are the only ones that made all my music sound superb. The others had strengths in certain areas, but the Bx5s are just brilliant at everything. Great build quality as well.
Summary: For the price paid, the size of the room the speakers are used, it's an absolute delight to the ears. Great finish, looks very good without the grills on (and no annoying grills holes on speakers face thanks to magnets). But the sound... Well, I can't default it.
Summary: Originally planned to purchase Q Accoustics but listened to these back to back with them and decided to spend a little more. I'm not dissapointed! Less bass then the Q's and maybe less presence but lovely clarity across the range.
Summary: These replaced Mortdant short speakers, at the time l bought them were highly regarded, so was very pleased that these have made such a difference in all departments. Love the look of these speakers, the bass for me is just right, not in your face.but can go quite deep.Good for my wide range of...
Pros: good all rounder , small big sound , wife likes them.
Summary: I bought these (MA BX5) to replace an older pair of BX2's. I have them at the end of an Arcam FMJ A19 amp with a CD17 cd player. And they sound superb, they go beyond the clarity of the smaller BX2's with better treble and bass. That's not to say that the BX2's aren't good....they are.
