Summary: I used to pay not much attention the rear speakers as I am not 100% into AV (mostly audio only). As soon as I put this pair up as the rear to complement the front OMD28 pair, the stage comes alive! In audiophile terms, the best word may be "Presence"!
Summary: First thing I noticed was mediocre shipping boxes and packing materials. The front grills on both speakers were dented in right where the Styrofoam packing was wrapped around them. Crutchfield promptly sent me two replacements. The speakers are just beautiful. Pictures do not do them justice.
Pros: Sound, Looks, Don't need a lot of power to drive them.
Summary: These are EXCELLENT speakers!!! They look AWESOME and sound even better. The sound stage is huge (love the Omni design) Imaging is also extremely good. A very smooth transition in sound from speaker to speaker with sounds being were they are supposed to be...
Pros: The Mirage OMD-15's have a very spacious accurate sound, and create more than one sweet spot in the room. The look and design is a classy addition to any room (your wife won't complain over ugly speakers).
Summary: I probably have had over 15 pairs of speakers come and go over the last few years and I spend a good deal of time restoring older classic speakers, with dedicated systems for just about every room in the house.
Summary: I've had these speakers for about a month now. I have the glossy rosewood finish and am in love with how they look. They look way more high end than than even the original selling price suggests. More good news comes with the sound.
Summary: Just bought 2, 1 month ago and am adding 2 more.great out of the box.can only get better.matched with omd c1 center.omdr rear.velodyne sub.Yamaha rxv 1800.great soundstage.omdr adds depth compared to omd 5's.great value for the money spent compared to others.superb construction and finish.
Summary: There might be better words to call the sound they produce but ill call it spatial sounding. Its really different from what im used to, more direct placement sounding speakers. But for my personal application where its located in a nook only 1 foot from the rear wall and 1" away from the side walls...
