Summary: I probably have had over 15 pairs of speakers come and go over the last few years and I spend a good deal of time restoring older classic speakers, with dedicated systems for just about every room in the house. My first experience with Mirage was a set of Mirage OMD 5s I dropped into my Home office system. Those OMD 5s outperformed a set of 1500.00 Bookshelf speakers I was running at the time.
Excerpt: I have owned several brands of speakers in this price range. The OMD-15s are my favorite. Other reviewers have mentioned the huge soundstage. This is true, I was surprised to identify two factors that significantly influence the soundstage and details speaker placement and room characteristics brighter vs. darker sounding.
Mirage OMD 15 and Vanns over the top customer service.

Excerpt: Great product. Great price. Vanns service was more than I could have asked for. The OMD 15 is a beautiful floor stander. Finish is second to none for the price and the clarity is outstanding. I have a 5.2 with OMD 15s OMD 5s and a OMD Cs1 and 2 pb12 plus subs. The soundstage offered by the omnI-dIrectIonal guIdes Is is very deep and fills my room. I would suggest adding a powered sub if your use is for the AV side. Very happy with the towers.
Excerpt: Everything about the Mirage OMD-15 speaks quality. Both speakers arrived, unharmed, even though the exterior packaging looked somewhat beat up. The speakers sound great, I'm pretty sure from all the other reviews, these speakers will sound even better after the initial 100 hour burn in. Couldn't be happier, unless maybe I could have bought the OMD-28s, out of my price range..... but I can only imagine.
Excerpt: If you are reading this you have likely read or will read the numerous other reviews on the OMD-15s. They replaced a pair of OMD-5s I used for general stereo music listening, movies and TV. I gave up my surround system some years ago because l prefer the simplicity and subtle nuance of ordinary two channel stereo. Like the other reviewers have said, the Mirages need a minimum of 100 hours to hit their stride...and when they do, magic happens.
Summary: I've had these speakers for about a month now. I have the glossy rosewood finish and am in love with how they look. They look way more high end than than even the original selling price suggests. More good news comes with the sound. I did as much research as I could before perchasing these and read that they lean more to warmth. I agree. I am not a fan of bright speakers and definitely prefer a warm sound when listening to music.
Excerpt: After two weeks to reflect, this purchase now feels like it should fall under the heading of getting greedy. Our TV room is pretty good sized 18x17 but with four OMD5s and a strong sub woofer, we already felt lavishly immersed. What you get for the step up is mostly horse power. Have no regrets because this is great value but if you have somewhat less family room- definately consider the little sibling. Given the modest dimensions, its even more of an engineering marvel.
Excerpt: Went from the Mirage OS3fs to the OMD 15s and was not expecting a huge improvement in sound. Boy was I wrong the OMD 15s sounded great right out of the box. The OS3s and OMD 15s both sounded great for movies in a 5.1 system but when it came to music the OMD 15s excelled big time. Music just came alive, cant wait to the 100 hour break in period so I can really push the speakers. I purchased 2 open box returns and both speakers looked brand new.
Excerpt: I really like the way OMD 15 sound a lot. I had XF-48 and energy V6.3 to compare with. I like the way OMD 15s sound, OMD 15s have the least bass, and the least efficient out of the three brands. But I really like the voice clarity of the OMDs, they sound natural and realistic. Out of the three brands I have V6.3-1st place, OMD 15-2nd please, and XF-48.
