Summary: I have owned Martin Logan speakers for 20 years and paid thousands of dollars for their outstanding sound. These are not in the rarified air of that audiophile market. However ... I was looking for a low priced home theater solution to my 13 year old son's new Vizio 3D 42" television that I have grown a liking to. Enter MLT-2. I happen to come across them at the newegg site for $249 w/shipping.
Summary: I had never heard of Martin Logan before, but after reading a couple reviews on Amazon I decided to give it a go. It was between these and some JBLs that were more expensive. I've had JBL bookshelf speakers before and loved them, but they were quite a bit more expensive than these ML's. I paired these with a Harman Kardon AVR 1700, also bought for a great price. After running 14 gauge wire and fudging the AVR's controls, the setup produced amazing sound.
Summary: Best lower-end speaker of the high-end market. Bose is the best high-end speaker of the low-end market, but barely cracks the high-end market. this has great sound with my Onkyo NR-616 receiver (with the Audyssey which basically sets up the sound so its best where you sit). My place sounds like a theater!
Summary: I recently purchased the Martin Logan MLT-1 5.1 Speaker System. All I can say is wow. I have owned many audio systems, and my current set up is well over $16K but I have never really focused on the home theater system, I am a audio guy, I love music. I decided to upgrade my A/V system for the family and I am very impressed with the MLT-1 system, a very good system for movies, video games and TV.
LOOKED CHEAPLY MADE. NOT MARTIN LOGAN QUALITY....BIG BOX STORE

Summary: NOT WORKING WHEN ARRIVED! HARD TO RATE THE PERFORMANCE. I WAS LOOKING FOR A COMPACT SUB........XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Summary: I got a pretty good deal on the system, but honestly it would have been worth full price. I'm using a Yamaha RX-V471BL 5.1-Channel AV Receiver and the sound is very well balanced. Everything I play through it sounds amazing. The speakers seamlessly fill the room with sound, no strange flat spots in the frequency range. The sub also has an adjustable bypass filter which is handy. Martin Logan makes great stuff.
Summary: I purchased these based on Previous Martin Logan speakers i current use. As i suspected, they are outstanding!!! Im using them in a bedroom, so yes it is overkill, but the sound qualty is more than i expected. My delivery showed up just as i was told and they were in prestine condition. This was my great find of the year for sure!!! Anyone looking to satisfy their need for quality sound but not wanting big speakers, this is a must!!! You will not be disappointed!!!
Summary: I was looking for small speakers to replace old bookshelf speakers. I first bought the Klipsch 1000 and was very disappointed with the sound and quality. I then listened to many small speakers in search of something that sounded at least as good as my old bookeshelf speakers. Some like Mirage were OK but still lacked the natural clarity at all frequencies that I hoped to find.
Summary: This speakers is really a Martin Logan product. It rocks my room and delivers the bass with striking thunder in your chest. The mid range are sweet. I have this compared with my Klipsh Quintet , and for the price this is bargain.
