Summary: This Martin Logan center speaker is just perfect for my system. My system consists of an Yamaha receiver, a pair of Bose 301 front speakers, a pair of Bose 201 rear speakes ans an SVS subwoofer and this center speaker was just a perfect addition to this system. Very natural sounding centerspeaker. Would highly recommend this one.
Summary: Very nice center channel! I am not going to try and sound like a professional audiophile. But to a novice listener of sound this speaker works for me and probably you as well. I believe, for the price, you cannot go wrong. I arrived nicely pagackaged and with all the necessary hardware to install within minutes. I definitely recommend this speaker with Martin Logan 12's or 10's. I have the 12's and a good subwoofer.
Summary: This speaker is great! Clarity makes a huge improvement on vocals. Timber match is almost perfect with my two Motion 4s. Fits perfectly in entertainment center bay. Wish I could appreciate the glossy finish.
Summary: I have a Denon reciever and had some old Dalquist DQM-5 speakers that had finally given up the ghost. They were great sounding speakers and I was hesitant to go with something new. I listened to these at the local Best Buy and found them to sound great at the show room, but am always skeptical that they will sound the same at home. I was pleasantly suprised and they actually sound better than my trusty old Dalquists.
Summary: I bought & tested 6 popular Centers: $200 Def Tech pro100, the $350 Klipsh RC-52, the $250 Def Tech Mythos 3, the $175 Polk CS-20, and the $350 Motion 8. The Motion 8 clearly has the best highs, and also great mids. What I like on top of that, is that the Motion 8 doesn't sound like its sound is originating from a small isolated area underneath my TV. I have a 65" TV for example on a wall w/ a center shelf inches below it...
Summary: My wife and I are super pleased with the set we put together on MartinLogan's recommendation. We combined the Motion 8 center speaker with wall mounted Motion 4's (4 of them) and balanced the set with a ML Dynamo 700 subwoofer. The speakers all run through an Onkyo TX-NR709 7.2-Channel Network A/V Receiver with better than expected audio output. We are delighted with this configuration.
