DJ Booth
15 December 2008
  • Excerpt: Now that we have gotten most of the NAMM 2011 coverage out of our system, we go back to doing what we do best… DJ Gear Reviews!  As promised, KRK has sent us a pair of their Best Buy Exclusive KRK VXT4-W (white) professional studio monitors so we could take them in the lab for a Full Written Review.  Our very own D-Macli put these speakers through the paces and was very impressed with the overall sound quality and durability of these powered monitors.

KRK VXT 4 Bi-Amplified Studio Monitors

maximum pc
30 January 2008
  • Excerpt: The primary benefit of near-field studio monitors like KRK’s VXT 4s is that they don’t interact with the room. And that’s exactly what you need if you’re mixing down tracks in a sonically challenged environment such as a home recording studio, which probably doubles as your bedroom, living room, or garage. But most desktop speakers are designed for near-field listening, so what makes the VXT 4s worthy of their $300 (each) street price?
  • Pros: Clean sound; bi-amplified; independently powered; Kevlar woofers and silk tweeters produce beautiful sound.
  • Cons: Expensive. We could use a bit more bass.
