Hard Working, Long Lasting

G. Grenz, Amazon
20 December 2009
  • Summary: I purchased these speakers as surround sound for my home entertainment system. I have owned them for about a year and they sound great! I also own a set of KG4 speakers that I bought about 20 years ago (front speakers) that are still running strong. Klipsch speakers are extremely well built and very long lasting. Another aspect is that about 15 years ago I had a roommate that liked to listen to music LOUD!

Ok main speaker, good wall speaker, great center!

Ted, Amazon

  • Summary: These hit the mid and highs well. They go loud. They even have some bass. The bass doesn't taper off to nothing when you crank either. It stays balanced throughout. I wanted to replace a pair of Infinity Sat1100's. The Sat's are nice speakers, but I wanted more lower rage and the SLX's stats indicated they provided that. I wanted as close to a full sized stand-up in the back as I could get. A floor speaker was not an option. These come with a nice mounting bracket.

Best I've used

J. Ogle, Amazon

  • Summary: I'm no officianado or anything, but these are the best speakers I've ever owned, and I've owned a *lot* of speakers. Great set. I'm using two right now and they're perfect.

Great sound

Fat Tony "Tony", Amazon
6 October 2007
  • Summary: Im currently using these speakers as my center and front channel speakers with my hk 247. The sound is very clear and the speakers provide great highs and mids. There are however a few problems. The speakers do come with a wall mount bracket however if you dont want them on your wall you will need to buy the stands for them, these things dont stand on their own. The speakers also dont provide a lot of bass so I'd make sure I at least have a good sub to go with them.
