Klipsch Reference RS-42 II

RS, Crutchfield
19 March 2014
  • Summary: I initially ordered two RS-41 II, which were good. However I wanted it liitle bit more bass to compliment by two Heresy's, a SW-10 woofer, a Klipsch KV2 Center, and a Denon AVR-1913. I should have orignially listen to Brandon to go with the RS--42 II. My basement area is 15x30, but the theater section being 15x15, with the back area with my pool table. The RS-42II's filled the complete area with the excellent Klipsch beautiful sound.
  • Pros: Great Sound Dispersion. Nothing like that Klipsch Sound.
  • Cons: None

Klipsch RS42 II

Scarecrow, Crutchfield
24 November 2013
  • Summary: I already had two pairs of RS42 IIs. When I saw the price, I bought a third pair. At reasonable sound levels they fill the room up real nice. I also have a pair if RS52 II. I think the 42s are a better buy. My home has dozens of Klipsch Reference series speakers. I like the brand. I drive them with upper range Sony's, Denon's, and Adcom AVRs.
  • Pros: Nice clear sound. Well built. Great sale price. I almost bought another pair of RF82s.
  • Cons: A little pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Klipsch RS-42 II...

Jim D, Crutchfield
24 November 2013
  • Summary: These do the job. I'm currently using them for rear surrounds, but used a pair for front mains coupled with my Klipsch subs for a while. They are very efficient and performed perfectly.
  • Pros: Good sound for the money. Nice sound stage due to the set up/directions the speakers face.
  • Cons: A bit heavy - purchased sturdy brackets for wall mounting.

Great speakers... Excellent sound quality... A++ Buy

Chris S, Crutchfield
25 January 2013
  • Summary: Just picked up a pair of these today and I could not be more impressed with them. Sound quality is excellent, very crisp and precise with good highs and mids. Have these paired with a set of RF-52 II, and a RC-52 II, and a 1500w definitive sub, and denon receiver. These speakers were the perfect ending pieces to my system. Absolutely love klipsch quality and performance and would recommend to anyone shopping for awesome home theater quality audio.
