Summary: I have always used Energy speakers so the "highs" that come with the Kilpsch horns are very welcome. The sound is so crisp that I am honestly hearing sounds in movies that I never heard before. The best speakers I have ever owned, without a doubt.
Summary: Phenominal set of speakers for the price($[...] on sale) You do need a decent receiver to run them properly but even a cheap one will work with good results. You can't find a better tower for that price.
Summary: After having purchased the above product and being disappointed by the distortion at low volumes, I decided to buy the Klipsch RF82's based on reviews and a Black Friday sale. These speakers fill the room with phenomenal bass and clarity and I'm quite impressed. I went with banana plugs for a clean wire set up and connected via Pioneer receiver. Very happy!
Summary: These are an OK speaker; have to agree that many other reviews are just hype and these speakers are by no means 5 stars. However, I bought them [on sale] and wanted them for large rears for my 7.2 surround system. For that purposed and price oint...they just can't be beat.
Summary: I was really fooled by all the rave reviews here and I picked these up recently for less than half the regular price. But after about a week I decided to return them, in spite of the great deal. These speakers have a ton of bass and can get really loud but they lack clarity. The sound is overly warm and mushy. Leonard Cohen sounded great on them, deep and gravely voice tended too but the vocals of any female artist were frankly rubbish.
Summary: I have had these babies for the past 2 years and they sound amazing. They are run off 2 Jungson mono block amplifiers and Accoustic Arts pre amplifier. Great buy....just break them in and they will mellow out.
Summary: So a couple years ago, I've aquired 4 RF-62's, 1 RC-52, a RW-10D Sub all paired with my Pioneer SC-9540 throwing a nice 140watts+ X5 Channels all with 14 year warrenties... and I have yet to EVER push these past even half their power, as it's very very very freaking loud, crisp and clear. I've even had to, at times for the neighbors, to turn the manual speaker settings in my receiver to satellite speakers just to reduce the bass from the towers let alone my SUB. NOW...
Summary: these speakers are better than 10-speaker Bose system in my suv, high is pure, bass is dynamic. no woofer needed at all. get these speakers, end your searching and enjoy music or movie. I hook up 2 of the speakers to a Denon RCD-N7 with 65w per channel, it is loud even at very low level volume.
Summary: I Just bought a New Home Theatre System - 2 of the RF82 and 2- RF 62 and 2 - 42's Tannyo 10" power sub W/digital settings, Infifnty Centre Speaker-(had from before), New 9.1 Pionner 1526K D Amp, Panasonic 65" 65GT50 Plasma - I had a new Samsung 60" LED but it went back, because of telus not having the right bandwidth in our area, so I did the 30 day return and got the New 65" Panasonic Plasma.... Klipsch Speakers WOW WOW...
Summary: Bang for the buck, you will not find a better pair of speakers. Out of the box they can be a slight bit "bright" or harsh sounding. After a good break in roughly 50-70 hours IMO, The difference was amazing. Using these mostly for home theater but also some music, I can not say enough about the subtle sounds you are able too hear during a movie....I have watched the same movies at friends houses and their speakers do not make these small ambient noticeable..
