Summary: I have a pair of old "DBX" speaker system and wanted to upgrade for several years. I read reviews from the web and from some magazines. Finally I decided to chosse between two brands: Klipsch RF series and Bowers and Wilkins. Recently, I bought a pair of RF 82ii and a pair of B&W 684B because their prices are about the same. I used a tube stereo amplifier to test them. The comparison started with piano.
Summary: Purchased these for the front mains for my HT. I already have the Klipsch KF-26 from Best Buy that I really like but, wanted to add to my surround system and upgraded to these fronts (replacing the the KF-26's), and will have the 26's as the surrounds. These have a much fuller sound filling my living room at lower volumes. They do need to be broken in before they reach their potential...but, already sound wonderful right out the box! Highly efficient, clear and LOUD!
Summary: I am not an audiophile but I love quality products and these speakers are definitely well made. The sound is so much better than my Bose-5 twin cube system. I guess the best word to describe the sound is rich.
Summary: These are excellent speakers. I had a set of Infinity RSMs for over 25 years and always loved the flat response and full sound. Gave them to my brother for his studio when the woofer suspension needed replacing again. I had some JBL 3 way floor standing and was never really happy with the sound. These RF-82 II ref series floorstanding speakers more than met my expectations. Sounded great without any eq.
Summary: Just got a set of Klipsch RF-82's and a RC-62 from Acousticsounddesign.com. They were fantastic through the whole transaction nice to deal with guy like Mike Embers. The Speakers sound amazing... you get the feeling the sound isn't coming from a speaker, but rather the sound fills the room (large room) VERY nicely. I tossed the idea of other speakers around both more expensive and less expensive, I decided on the Klipsch and it was the perfect choice.
Summary: These replaced Infinity Beta 50s, which sound great too. But these Klipsch RF-82 II take your sound to the next level both Music and Movies. (3) Three things that is very Important too a great sounding HT System is to have Quality AMP/ Receiver , Matching Speakers from the same Series.
Summary: I needed a replacement for 2 Klipsch LaScalas that my wonderful wife didn't want in our new home decor. These RF 82 IIs are a wonderful replacement when added to my Velodyne subs to cover the base. Crisp and clear as all Klipsch products are.
Summary: I owned a Bose V20 system before and these speakers sound better even without a subwoofer! The Bose was good but these are better! The sound is clearer, the imaging is better and the bass is tighter. I power them with a Yamaha RX-A2010BL setup with 2 Marantz MA-700 monoblock amps. My listening area is 20X30ft and they are more than loud enough. I do not think my room is big enough for RF-7 II.
Summary: Klipsch RF82 II BLACK Single 2-way Reference series black floor-standing speaker I received these speakers from Amazon in the time frame specified. Delivery was awesome and very helpful. The setup for these speakers was a snap. Good terminal connections. Just a simple mount for the base to stabilize the speaker from tipping. Very stable. I am using these for a secondary viewing area and as a music studio reference speaker.
