Summary: Love these speakers, especially for live recordings. Warning though, a large room is needed. I use these speakers for home theater as well. I use the bi-amp feature and really enjoy the fullness the added power provides.
Summary: I matched these up with the RC-62 II, 2 RS-52 II, 2 RB-81 II, 2 RW-10d, and 2 pair of RB-51 for my wide and high front. The extremely helpful folks at Klipsch say that there is no problem mixing Reference and Reference II speakers.
Summary: I received these speakers to replace some older Infinity speakers. The range of sound is far beyond anything I imagined. The bass has great depth, and the highs are clean and clear, even with head banging heavy meteal music, my favorite type.
Summary: I just came from listening to the RF-82II with the RC-62 center and color me impressed. I have always been a Heritage series bigot, preferring the sound quality of a 3 way horn speaker and the powerful bass generated by both porting and passive radiators.
Summary: You must connect these to a clean amplifier to get the sound the designers intended. Don't whine and put less than 5 eggs cause you skimped on the amp!! These speakers rock hard!!!
Pros: For 4 years I have these speakers bi-amped connected to a VSX-84 Elite receiver. They are hands down the sweetspot of the Klipsch RF lineup. Excellent bass, Excellent mids and highend. Imaging is also excellent. U are not going to find a better speaker out there in this price range. They travel w...
Summary: My RF-82 pair serve as a stand-alone units for music listening (I also have a Klipsch HD-1000 set up in a smaller area for watching video). The receiver, a Denon 830, is located in the video room about 50 feet away, but even with that long cable run the RF-82s are capable of filling the whole house...
Summary: Bought these for the L/R Mains on my Home Theater. They are simply AMAZING! For music they are also very good. Efficient and easy on the ears. Just like all Klipsch speakers, they need clean power. They will show the weakness in any system.
Summary: I just recently purchased a full set of Klipsch speakers from Mike over at acousticsounddesign.com I have the RF-82 fronts, RC62 Center and 4- RS-52 surrounds. I also bought the Denon 3808 AV receiver. I have always been a fan of Klipsch and have owned the Quintets for years.
Summary: I picked these up at Tweeter before they went under for $380 bucks each. All I can say is that's a steal for this kind of sound quality. I have these set up in my living room for 2 channel listening only with no sound altering (eq, or amp with tone controls).
Summary: Uuuh...Huh huh.... cool. Otherwise I'm speachless. I am buying two more for the rear channels and driving all of the neighbors for blocks out of their brains. Louder than the giant speakers from the 80's when I was a teen, but sound quality is the best I have heard, of course I coupled with a $4000...
