Summary: I am writing this review from the perspective of listening to them in a dedicated home theater for mostly movies. From that standpoint, these speakers are a decent value for the money, but don't get your hopes too high. I had my set for nearly 1 year. After listening to them for a few months, I started really noticing the bass just wasn't there. I have two 18", 1500 watt subwoofers, so it's not like I'm looking for serious bass that a subwoofer should be handling.
Summary: The 3 stars it is not for the quality that deserves 5 stars, sounds great, looks great, it is just the drop in the price, i bought it 2 months ago at a regular price and now just because the new model came out they dropped the price so much that i don't really know the real value of these speakers........
Summary: Very nice sound quality. These must be placed at least a few inches (more is better) from the wall behind or the bass gets distorted. Not a Klipsch problem all rear vented woofers have to have a little room around them...
Summary: I must confess I bought mine through Crutchfield...having said that, these are very nice speakers....I read a lot of comments about how big they are, and how they would overpower a small room?? I don't agree. I live in a one bedroom apt, I don't think they are too big at all, I am glad I didn't get the smaller ones, these are perfect. The Bic America DV-84's I had were bigger than these.
Summary: I purchased these towers to replace the towers in my Klipsch Quintet system. I have two Klipsch 12" subs in my home theater. I had no idea how much bass I was missing from full sized towers. I had a family member listen to the speakers without the subs playing and they were as impressed as I was with their deep bass and clear highs. I set the crossover to 80hz so the towers play plenty of midrange while the subs handle the bass.
Summary: These are outstanding speakers capable of being played with even the most modest power. I am currently playing these using a Denon 590 at 75 watts RMS (introductory model Denon receiver), and these speakers sing! These speakers are capable of quality full range sound, with crisp highs, and deep tight bass. Although I do use a subwoofer now, I didn't at first, and was amazed at the bass response.
Upgraded all my old klipsch speakers (2001-2003 Reference models) to the newer reference line and blown away.

Summary: I had some very old Klipsch speakers (13 years old) , none of them are blown, broken , and in mint condition and have gotten various comments that my speakers are new. (Family, friends etc) mostly because of the sound quality and premium Klipsch build. I am upgrading from RC-3 (center) , RF-3 II (floor standing) , RS-3 II (surround) and RSW 15 (subwoofer) which have not been in production since 2001-2004.
