Summary: Nice speakers, beautiful cabinets and very excellent sound quality. They play very sharp clean sound at any volume and take little power to drive compared to my old speakers. I did however like the powered sub-woofers in the Polk towers I previously owned although at 15 years old with one blown it was time for a change. I'm thrilled with these Klipsch RF-62's and with the loudness button on my 85W RMS Onkyo receiver I still get a decent base response.
Pros: Clear crisp sound at any listening level, beautiful cabinet and reasonable price for a speaker at this level.
Cons: None regarding the speaker but I do miss powered sub-woofer thump!
Summary: Very full sound. Have used primarily for watching movies for the moment. Sound nice even at lower volumes. Slowly replacing an onkyo home theatre in a box system I have. These loudspeakers are definitely a great start. Have no doubt enhanced my movie watching experience. If you're on the fence, just do it and thank me later.
Pros: -Great sound at lower volumes -Nice highs -Just enough bass without sounding too boomy -Take up less room than I thought they would -Solid construction with good weight
Cons: Double check to make sure you've got enough space. Not so much width but the speakers are pretty long right around 15 inches long.
Excerpt: A great speaker. I am hearing new details. The soft sounds softer and the loud louder. Very efficient. Great recordings sound even better, and bad ones worse. I still prefer my Fortes for music, but these are terrific for movies.
