Summary: I love these speakers. For the price they are a super upgrade for my surround sound. I bought one as a. "Scratch and dent" special but it looks brand new. It was missing a machine screw for one of the feet but Crutchfield had it to me in just, a couple of days. Super customer service!
Summary: Very nice sound. Very easy to listen to at low volume and when turned up it is crystal clear. Also purchased a pair of SR-41 II,s; still need a matching center channel. Probably will go with the SC-52 II.
Summary: I bought these speakers to replace a pair of modified Pioneer HPM 100 speakers, circa 1978, thinking that these "modern" speakers would sound better. I returned the speakers to Crutchfield, after a couple of weeks of A/B comparing with the HPM"s. To my ears, the RF 52's sounded too bright and irritating, with bloated, unnatural bass. I tested these with a variety of amps/receivers including a vitnage Marantz, Onkyo and Pioneer and also a modern Yamaha and Onkyo.
Summary: First time buyer with Crutchfield, Received the product within 4 days without any damage. Good service as well and received thank you card from them. I connected to my pioneer receiver 2 channel disconnecting all 7 channel, This speaker blew everything, awesome speaker. I now love listening music through this speakers. No need of subwoofer, I noticed very clarity in sound and fills the room. I'm planning to buy Emotiva UPA 200 to get more out of these speakers.
Cons: Quality of finish of the cabinet was little poor and would not expect great as these are made from China.
Summary: I went from Infinity R162's to these Klipsch. The sound is now much fuller and richer. There is more than enough bass to not need a sub. They are a bit smaller than my RF 82's but that actually works well in the room they are in. I highly recommend these and the Crutchfield service was excellent as usual. I ordered these on a SUN and got them on TUE.
Pros: Full rich sound. No real break in required from my point of view. Enough bass I did not need a sub.
Cons: I would have liked the cable terminals to be more accessible. Size is good but they still are furniture.
Summary: I have these speakers powered by a 20 year old Nakamichi amp (100 watts?). My ears find a definite improvement after a 24 hour break-in period. Initially the sound was a little on the "bright" side. After break-in the sound seems neutral and clear.
Pros: efficient ( clean and clear at any volume level) neutral good value
Summary: I thought I was happy with my 1970's vintage Sasui Speakers that stalling work and look great. I recently upgraded my Kenwood amp to a Yamaha RXV676 and was happy with that upgrade. A couple weeks later I bought the Klipsch RF-52 speakers to go with the upgraded amp....WOW... I was amazed at the sound clarity that I had been missing out on. I am very happy with these speakers and will have no problem recommending them to anyone who asks.
Pros: Shipment arrived quickly, packaging was good, speakers look great and sound great.
Summary: purchased the cherry wood on special paired with a harmon kardon hk 3490, 125 rms/ch. back in the day (70's and 80's), I had systems that today would sell for $10,000 + and consider myself a semi-stereophile. bottom line, if you are looking at speakers in this $ range, look no further. amazing clarity, tight low end, very "up front, extremely efficient". I'm convinced there is no way you could buy speakers for under $600 that would sound this good. nuff said !
