Summary: A good speaker for a very good value. The Cherry speaker is actually cheaper than the black one, you get the same quality for less price. If your center speaker is going to be hidden anyways, it does not matter if the cherry finish does not match the color of your other speakers. It has clear sound and it is solidly built.
Clear and in your face dialogue, soul piercing highs
18 August 2014
Summary: I've had mine for 9 months so I've had a chance to get accustomed to it. The center channel provides most of the dialogue and some of the soundtrack and sound effects as well. Klipsch have been said to be "bright" by some people. I even have had these sound a bit "off" at times. But what I think it is, these speakers are so accurate and clear, that that can be mistaken for "bright". People aren't used to the clarity these provide.
Summary: I have also bought the RF-62 II (floor standing speakers) that match this one, the first thing I noticed was everything sounded natural. I have owned Klipsch for over 10-11 years and felt it was time to upgrade. The other thing I noticed was extreme clarity with natural sound. I was surprised since I had some doubts they could improve on my Reference Center 3. Beyond clarity, the highs seem more balanced with everything blending in perfectly with the rest of the sound.
Summary: Had an old center channel speaker that we could not understand what people on TV were saying. Tried to use 2 smaller speakers in parallel but had the same problem. Finally bought the Klipsch RC-62 II and problem was solved.
Summary: I upgraded from a pretty good, but smaller Infinity. The sound is amazingly clear and full bodied. I feel I am missing out on nothing now and cannot imagine upgrading significantly from this level of quality. It seems to blend well with my Klipsch KG 4.2 main channel speakers.
