Summary: I bought two of these speakers to go along with a Klipsch 5.1 speaker system. These speakers are all coupled to a Denon 2312 amp so that I have a 7.1 surround sound system. They work extremely well. Also note that the bases that come with these speakers are well constructed.
Summary: I bought these speakers as the rear speakers for my 5.1 system. They compliment my system with excellent sound, that really made a difference from my previous setup. Good base and strong crisp mid and high freqs. My only gripe is that the mounting bracket is not functional for wall mounting. I've read the other reviews that say that the wall mounting brackets work well, but that is not MY experience.
Summary: I have no complaints with the purchase. The units are discrete and carry great sound to my ear. I am not an audiophile and they are connected to a cheaper AV receiver, so I can't judge them accurately as 3 or 5 star quality. They are solid and heavy and feel about what I'd expect.
Summary: I bought this set for 199 at amazon. It's very nice looking and well-built. I've seen other reviews saying you don't need a subwoofer. Well... I'd say that if you don't like powerful bass, this may be true. Otherwise get a nice subwoofer. I was about to buy the Infinity PS212 but since I got a VERY good deal on a Sony 10" I went with it (will buy the infinity when I have the money). I have a pioneer vsx819h-k which outputs 110w/channel.
Summary: I should say I am happy with this speaker set. The product delivers a great sound, well balanced, and good looks. They are tuned for a deeper sound and subjectively miss some of the high range - I use them with a small subwoofer which for basic movies maybe a bit redundant. Combining with subwoofer provides for a reacher experience, especially in a hip hop repertoire.
Summary: Klipsch is a brand I was not aware of until I started looking at upgrading my old Sony home theater system. After reading the Cnet review of the Klipsch Synergy Quintet III's I decided to make my purchase. The speakers arrived quickly from Vanns via the Amazon marketplace. The box was HEAVY, which surprised me a bit as the speakers included are two rear, two front and a center - but no subwoofer.
Summary: I purchased these speakers recently for eventual replacement of my much larger and heavier Technics and Polk Audio speakers. I do think my 20 year old speakers sound much better than these Klipsch speakers do; however, given the small size and light weight of this speaker set, I would rate them highly. They definitley do need a subwoofer to be used with them for deeper, lower frequency sounds.
Summary: I have a 10 year old pair of Klipsch floorstandings for my living room and I love them. Thus, when I was ready to complete the sound system for my new projector based home theater, I was looking for an affordable way to set up a surround sound system. The price was right but my biggest concern was the possible lack of lowend punch due to their size. Based on my audiophile friend's recommendation I paired the speakers with a good quality 10 inch HSU sub.
