Summary: I've had a pair since 1980, and although I have sampled many other speakers, none that compelled me to make a change.

My current room is 17x17 and they sound great.

With a 20 watt good sounding tube amp, these will blow you out of your seat at 0.5 Watts, 2 Watts is almost...
Pros: Great accurate big sound
The only speakers you will want in your lifetime
Cons: You could say size with a 2ft x 2ft footprint.
Do what everyone else does, put glass tops on them and use them as tall tables for a lamp or plastic flowers or art. No real flowers or water, ever.....
Summary: I bought mine in 1986 and they rocked the neighborhood. I too used them for a few family weddings and some fiestas at our church. But the best was, one weekend some friends came over to throw some meat on the grill.
Pros: They sound just as amazing at low volumes as they do rocking the neighborhood!!
Summary: bought these in 1986 at Japan Military for a cousin. Best investment in music he ever made. Still no one can touch his system. Pioneer amps and preamps with lacquer and wood. Equalizer with a 120 plus page guide. JBL monitors in back and BOSE for twin center channel.
Summary: I purchased these speakers as a college graduation gift to myself back in 1975. I have used these speakers for at least 8 family/friends weddings...they are still sitting in my living room as back speakers w/a pair of Herasy's as front speakers.
Cons: Space could be an issue. A big room would be great.
Summary: I purchased my La Scalas from Barbara Walters in 1987, she had just purchased Robert Lamm's Bel Air Mansion (the band Chicago ). She did not want them as they were built in to the wall. I bought the pair for $500.00.
Not only a great speaker, one of the greatest pieces of electronics of all time.

Summary: These speakers WILL make you smile. I love to sit people down in front of my La Scalas for the very first time and turn on some nice music. A big smile lights up their face every time. I have a set of both series. Like one of the other reviewers said, get the money somewhere and buy a set of these.
Summary: Audiophiles used to like to sneer at Klipsch designs- old fashioned, they said. Horns? Who uses horns? Horns are for PA systems. All they have going for them is efficiency, and who needs that is this day of 400-watt FET amplifiers?
