Summary: As others have mentioned, the speaker connection clips on the back of each speaker leave a lot to be desired. In connecting one of the speakers, with almost no effort at all, one of the plastic spring clips just disintegrated. These speakers have a lot of "bang for the buck", but I would be more than happy to pay a little more for better wiring connections. It is so disappointing that so many products that one purchases today are never 100 percent.
Summary: I've owned this Klipsch speaker set for almost a year now set up at my vacation home. I have this system paired with a Yamaha AV receiver RX-V565. For movies with multi surround sound tracks this system rocks. The surprise is the high quality of the sub woofer included with this set. Since this product is targeted for a home theater set up, it delivers. The only ding I give it is due to the cheap and cumbersome speaker terminals on the back of the satellite speakers.
Summary: These sepakers beat the Bose speakers in terms of sound and quality. Absolutely amazing to hear (music, movies). The speakers do not come with wall mountings. Omnimount 10.0 is the correct mount and they do perfect job for connecting speakers to the wall. Need 4 of them to connect to the ceiling or the side walls.
Summary: I install 'average joe' Home Theater systems on the side, and as such I run into a lot of these pre-packaged speaker sets. Overall, the Klipsch HD 500 produces a great sound for TV and Movies, but falls a little short with complex musical scores. That said, this system is designed for the first use mentioned above, and for that use it is more than adequate for up to medium size rooms (~400 square feet).
Summary: I'm fairly new to this whole A/V game, but I bought these speakers in 2010 when amazon had them on sale for $300 (they're currently $599 at best buy in 2012). The only complaints I have about them are MY difficulty with keeping the 16-guage wiring in them and the bass. Again, I'm new to this, so it may just be that I don't know what I'm doing but I resorted to putting gorilla tape on the back of the speakers to keep the wiring in place.
Decent speakers for low budgets or 2nd zones (rooms)

Summary: I picked up this speaker set on Dec 18th during the gold box deal. Installed this yesterday in a huge room (family room+kitchen) with lots of furniture, vaulted ceilings, and on one slanting wall with provision for in ceiling surround rear speakers (L+R). Rest of the setup was fairly easy and speakers are being powered by an Onkyo - TX-SR805 receiver. The front (L+R) speakers are fairly small (incidentally, the same size as the surrounds) and could have been made larger.
Summary: The speakers are fairly small, but the sound is great. I installed with an Onkyo TX-NR609 and is a good fit. Have not had a chance to setup the calibration, waiting on a subwoofer cable (not included, make sure to get one so you don't have to wait). Will update my review once completely setup.
Summary: Like many of the other reviews on here, I think the speakers are great in sound quality, look good (like any other speakers, really), but could use better wire connection tab things. I had a little trouble getting 16ga wire in, and they pull out easily, which is a problem for me because I move the speakers every once in awhile for various reasons. Other than that, it's a great system, well balanced, and in my opinion worth the money.
Summary: i needed small sealed speakers due to small cabinets surrounding my flat screen tv, what i received was a set of small sealed speakers with a crisp clear defined sound for 299. I replaced a set of boston mcs130 with these klipsch speakers, the sound was like night and day. After i hooked em up i played Avatar on blueray and the sound was clean and crisp to the point i heard stuff in multiple scenes that i never even noticed before.
