Good but not for loud music.

Summary: Ok, this set is quite good for the price. The subwoofer is impressive as it delivers rich bass in a medium size room. But the satelite speakers are not so good, the sound is ok for movies, i do not recemed the to be used as main speakers (fronts) since one of the burned its coil after one hour of music played at more tan normal volume. I suggest using them only as sorround speakers and buy a bigger pair to use as fronts.
Summary: I chose these speakers due to their size. While they don't have all of the features of more expensive speakers (like post connections) the sound was far better than I expected. Tones are clear and there is good range in the sound. The subwoofer does a very good job with bass sounds. Movies, and even music sound great. Volume does distort at extreme levels, but I don't plan to use these to rock a block party - just in my living room!
Summary: The speakers are fine with the exception of one of the satellites. I came out of the box and only completely garbbled noise comes out of it. The rest are alright. I am presently trying to get a replacement from Amazon. Their first response was to send me to Klipsch directly. I did this with zero resposnse from them and I have sent this problem back to Amazon. If it gets resolved, this rating may change. I changed my rating on these.
Summary: I replaced my old 5.1 system with these speakers and am impressed. Klipsch is known for quality speakers and these don't disappoint. The subwoofer, however, is really nothing to get excited about. It does an adequate job if you don't have one, but it didn't impress me. I have an old back-firing Klipsch sub that still works great so I kept it and put this sub in the closet for a backup. I still recommend it just for the surround and center channel speakers though!
Summary: Reading the reviews here I was expecting good things. I was a bit disappointed. I'll admit the sound is quite good when compared to similarly priced sets. But it's still a bit underpowered, and ... well, small-speaker sounding. The speakers are much smaller then I expected too. They are tiny. Overall good for the price, but temper your expectations. No whear near what some of the reviews suggest.
Summary: I purchased this system to replace an 18-year-old sub/sat system that began making unfortunate noises. After running them for a month+, I'm very happy with the audio quality from the Klipsch speakers, and haven't experienced any of problems some other reviewers have noted. My only minor complaint is that, being smaller than the speakers they replaced, I have to drive these harder (turn the volume higher on my receiver) to get equivalent volume levels in my TV space, and...
Summary: I bought these speakers as a step up from my beginner Sony speaker sound system I have had for years. A sound guy from a store told me that all he gets is Klipsch and he is totally sold on them. I found these on here for a great deal so I decided to give them a try. I paired them with a Onkyo receiver I also bought on here. I have been very pleased with this system. Very clear sounding speakers and the bass is excellent compared to what I had before.
Summary: The Klipsch HD 300 is a great entry level 5.1 sound system. I was surprised at how much sound comes out of these speakers. To be fair I can't really rate the true potential of this system because I'm only using the center and surround speakers along with the sub. The speakers reproduce great accurate sound and are the closest that I have came to having a system that is comparable to my car systems. The sub is ok to good but not great.
Summary: I got this expecting a little more. The sound quality is great, but the subwoofer is only "okay" at best. It is underpowered and is not good for music (as others have stated). For movies however, it really comes alive; even the music in movies (Techno in Tron Legacy sounds great). I do not fully understand why this is, but it is. The other issue is that the subwoofer lowpass filter has to be set to 150 Hz to get all of the notes.
