Summary: I searched and researched all the systems for a long time before settling on Klipsch. I have been very happy with my choice. Made in america! the quality is top notch and the sound is incredible.
Summary: The speakers are fine with the exception of one of the satellites. I came out of the box and only completely garbbled noise comes out of it. The rest are alright. I am presently trying to get a replacement from Amazon. Their first response was to send me to Klipsch directly. I did this with zero resposnse from them and I have sent this problem back to Amazon. If it gets resolved, this rating may change. I changed my rating on these.
Summary: this item work well and was delivered as promised. It is of good quality and seems like it will stand the test of time. The sound quality is better than I expected and am very pleased with these speakers.
Summary: When it comes to watching tv or playing a video game the visuals are awesome yeah, but for me audio is where it's at. On a tight budget I invested in this system and for what I paid they have been remarkable! You will need your own receiver and wiring, but this set is definitely worthwhile. The sound is crisp, and can withstand fairly high volumes. I find the range in volume to be great from -35 to 13 before I risk over powering them with my yamaha receiver.
Summary: I replaced my old 5.1 system with these speakers and am impressed. Klipsch is known for quality speakers and these don't disappoint. The subwoofer, however, is really nothing to get excited about. It does an adequate job if you don't have one, but it didn't impress me. I have an old back-firing Klipsch sub that still works great so I kept it and put this sub in the closet for a backup. I still recommend it just for the surround and center channel speakers though!
Summary: I have these speakers and they sound amazing when connected to a good receiver in a small room environment. Lossless audio output from these have been tested right around 95db in a smallish room by a third party. That is very loud and more than enough for anyone enjoying a Blu-ray. My Yamaha RX-V471 must not go beyond -30db on the clock in my 11 x 11 screening room.
Summary: I love this HT system!!! I have been familiar with Klipsch for years, and their quality is superb. This HDT 300 is a great solution for all-in-one-box 5.1 home theater speaker and sub-woofer system without breaking the bank, in other words, great bang for the buck!
