Summary: I tried to arrive at my rating by being relative to what I would expect given this thing's size and cost (around 200 bucks at this time, cost me 180 from Amazon). Pros: -- Amazing sound from such a compact box, the bass is especially impressive. -- Sounds best when turned up to medium to high volume. -- Bass is serious (you will feel it in your gut) and tight. How they got this kind of bass in this size unit, with only small drivers, I have no idea.
Seriously amazing value, just know it's a pain up front to update the firmware and get up and running...

Summary: Well, I certainly ran into the issues that all the other lower rating reviews ran into including a difficult speaker setup, the speaker forgot my network the first time I turned it off and I would lose volume control not to mention a large delay before audio would begin playing... however, if you stick with it and are able to step through the required steps to update to the latest firmware via the guide on the klipsch website (just google G-17 firmware and you'll find...
Summary: I purchased this stereo for a loft apartment -- tall ceilings, but essentially one giant room. For the price (it was $165 when I bought), it is a great purchase. I was looking for something not too thumpy (thin walls with neighbors) but still big enough to fill up an apartment with good background music. I also wanted a low profile and Airplay.
Summary: I am in love with these units. I have four of them in various rooms in my house. They were, and still are, $550 at some sellers. Klpisch discontinued them about a year ago and it seams that all of Amazon's resellers are dumping their stock for about $165. Unfortunately to get 4 good ones I had to order a total of 6. Two of them went back, one for a bad power button and one that refused to stay connected or take the firmware update.
awesome little airplay speaker that also makes for a great sound bar

Summary: I liked the G-17 Air so much that soon after I purchased one I bought a second one (both cost about $160). I have one hooked up to a TV through the 3.5 mm jack. It sounds great working off my Toshiba's 3.5 stereo out, producing crips highs, clear mids and a very satisfying bass (perhaps too much for some tastes, but I really like the klipsch thump). It is an excellent sound bar, filling a 12' x 12' room nicely.
Summary: Update: After flashing the firmware to the current version and reconfiguring the speaker (since that is required after a firmware update) this speaker works with Airplay as it should! I can now leave the speaker on and listen all day or pause the music for days then push play and have the speaker work immediately. Also if I do turn off the speaker now it connects and is available much faster since the firmware update.
Summary: At 66 years old, my ears aren't what they used to be and the G-17 fits the bill just fine, thank you very much. The only complaints that I have are that 1) When you turn it on, it doesn't remember the last input setting. My primary use is with my TV, using the 3.5mm input so I have to cycle thru the input settings to get to what I want.
Nice product, but won't replace a full-sized stereo system.

Summary: Disclaimer!! Audio "quality" is ultimately a subjective notion that depends greatly on personal taste, room characteristics and recording quality, among other things. While this review represents my own experience with the G17, prospective buyers would be wise to test this system in person, with their own music, before drawing any definite conclusions. I purchased this unit as soon as it became available.
Summary: This speaker sounds really great from the top of one of my kitchen cabinets, definitely worth the reduced price but not sure if I would buy it at full price. The Airplay function works really well and is easy to set up. I actually switch this speaker off at the wall when not in use because it'll go for days or weeks sometimes and not get used and I don't want the power supply being warm all the time when it's not being used for a while.
Summary: I bought a pair of X10i headphones having had a pair of S4i and S4i sports headphones. The headphones are excellent and sound quality a good balance between bass and clear mid ranges. The headphones whilst excellent in the sound department were significantly let down by flimsy build quality (x10i sent back after cable came away from the headphone jack 2 weeks in). This meant I was a little concerned about buying the Klipsch AirPlay speaker.
